Gwen Shows Off a Rockin' New Way to Layer Up

Gwen Stefani always looks cool no matter what she wears, and her latest ensemble shows off a rockin' new way to layer up.

Gwen Stefani always looks cool no matter what she wears, and her latest ensemble shows off a rockin' new way to layer up. So dust off those old-school Dr. Martens and let's dig in. While playing at an LA park with her sons, Gwen sported a black-and-white long-sleeved tee under a black poncho sweater, which she topped with a colorful printed scarf. She then added more funk to her look via white cat-eye sunglasses and punky dark red Dr. Martens boots. This outfit is perfect for a day of running errands or, like Gwen, spending a day with your little ones. It's super comfy but doesn't lose its cool appeal in the process. Amazing. Inspired Style: Gisele's Boyish Charm

On the cover, she's playing up the innocent school girl, but inside this month's Vogue China, Patrick Demarchelier captures Gisele as the cool, contemporary tomboy.

On the cover, she's playing up the innocent school girl, but inside this month's Vogue China, Patrick Demarchelier captures Gisele as the cool, contemporary tomboy. It's a little edgy, but not overblown — just hints of the masculine, like a pair of combat boots ($140), juxtaposed against a crisp, white button-down, and finished with a fitted velvet blazer ($178). Don't forget to layer on the long necklaces to nail the look!

Fab Finding Follow-Up: Screen Printing Party!

I recently heard about an awesome DIY spot in San Francisco: Workshop.

I recently heard about an awesome DIY spot in San Francisco: Workshop. The genesis of a self-proclaimed DIY-er, Workshop houses a ton of fun classes — complete with a rad DJ and free beer — for the cool and crafty. Last week, it hosted an amazing screen printing party, so you know I was there with my blank canvases. Since paint (and beer) were involved, things got a tad messy. I asked you help me piece together a fun 'fit — let's see my top three looks!

I started you off with these Alexis Bittar Neon Pyramid Earrings ($95); so artsy and abstract.

Look #1, by nikkeeb is perfect for screen printing. I like how the pastel hues add a cute girly touch.

While checking out the latest goods in a shop at The Grove in LA, Rachel Bilson donned a comfy yet cute ensemble. Her black cardi and bubble mini would be plain on their own, so she made sure to accessorize with fun elements. Her galactic scarf adds a burst of color, while Ray-Bans and tough See by Chloe boots inject a dose of badass. A yummy Chanel bag completes her rad look.

Back to Cool: Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Will Smith sure has come a long way since his days on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Will Smith sure has come a long way since his days on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He's since become a huge movie star, but I still crack up every time I see a rerun of this show. Remember all of the crazy '90s fashions? Will in his Hammer pants, Whitney in her bod-con dresses, and young Ashley in her denim shorts — so cool. With a little toning down, their style can easily be translated into our world today.
