The 2013 Brit Awards (the British equivalent to the Grammy Awards) have kicked off in London, and Taylor Swift was one of the first to arrive in style, wearing a sheer black Elie Saab gown. While we love seeing the singer in her signature sequins, we couldn't be more thrilled that she went with something a bit more sleek and sexy this time. Step inside to get a closer look at Taylor's full ensemble and to find out what other stars like Rita Ora, Gemma Arterton, and Lana Del Rey picked for tonight's festivities. Then check back with us for way more Brit Awards red-carpet arrivals.
Taylor Swift attended the Brit Awards in London today in a dramatic see-through black gown by Elie Saab. Taylor will be singing her new "22" single tonight, but everyone's eyes will most certainly be on any interaction she has with ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, who will be performing his charity single with One Direction, "One Way or Another," at the event. Taylor raised some eyebrows when she allegedly mocked Harry during her Grammy Awards performance earlier this month, but her former beau has brushed off the rumors, calling it "a great Taylor Swift performance." She'll have bigger things on her mind tonight as she is up for the best international female solo artist award against Rihanna, Lana Del Rey, Cat Power, and Alicia Keys.
The Berlin International Film Festival kicked off earlier this month — yes, there is life outside of Fashion Week — and we're catching you up on all the glamour straight from the red carpet abroad. Amanda Seyfried stepped out for the premiere of her film Lovelace in an apropos blue lace Elie Saab gown; Charlize Theron glowed in a strapless Gucci gown at the Cinema For Peace gala; and Anne Hathaway exuded a darker kind of evening elegance in her Chanel Couture pick at the Les Misérables premiere. And that's only the beginning. For more stunning Berlin ensembles, courtesy of Emma Stone and Rooney Mara, keep clicking.
Beyoncé's HBO documentary, Life Is But a Dream, debuts this Saturday, but first, the singer stunned in an embellished Elie Saab gown — from the house's Spring 2012 Couture collection — and Lorraine Schwartz jewels at the NYC premiere tonight. We would expect nothing less than dazzling from Beyoncé for her big night. Everything from the sheer bodice to the floral appliqué detail to the neutral color is undeniably exquisite, especially on her gorgeous figure. And clearly Beyoncé is also in love with her dress, because she posted this side shot on her Instagram. Without further ado, click on to see all sparkly angles of the singer's spotlight-worthy Elie Saab gown.

Couture Fashion Week is about pulling out all of the over-the-top, decadent, head-turning stops. Rife with delicate floral applique, jaw-dropping embellishment, and saturated color, designers' Spring '13 offerings did just that. The trend report points toward all things floral and feminine, as exemplified by Giambattista Valli's decadent array of beading and embellishment, Chanel's secret garden theme highlighting beautiful floral appliqués, and Raf Simons's botanical dream for Christian Dior. With swaths of silk, tulle, and guipure lace floating down the runway, we can't help but fall hopelessly in love with the likes of Valentino, Elie Saab, and a gilded Zuhair Murad collection. Though, as the lineups from Atelier Verace, Armani Privé, and Jean Paul Gaultier prove, there's sleeker, sexier fare in store here as well. Like Lea Michele, our favorite Vampire Diaries starlet, Nina Dobrev, was also feeling pretty in pink tonight. She chose a pink Elie Saab short-sleeved crepe gown with subtle lace cutouts from the designer's Spring 2013 collection. Blink and you might miss the thin pink belt cinched at her waist. As for the fancy accoutrements, Nina picked out sparkly drop earrings, a diamond bracelet, and a jeweled box clutch. Do you approve of Nina's pink dress and shiny add-ons?

With just one night before the Screen Actors Guild Awards fun, the A-list set hit the red carpet this evening to celebrate the producers. The Producers Guild Awards dress code ranged from fancy to flirty tonight as Jessica Alba led the pack in a gorgeous embroidered lace gown by Elie Saab Couture, paired with Harry Winston jewels and a Roger Vivier bag. Meanwhile, Anne Hathaway showed off a fun strapless, floral Erdem dress accessorized with strappy custom vegan gold sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti, while Jennifer Garner shined in an Oscar de la Renta chantilly lace dress with a ruffle hemline. Click on to see who else attended the festivities and, even more importantly, what they wore.
It's rare to come across a red carpet these days that doesn't play host to (at least) one stunning Elie Saab gown. The Lebanese designer has, in effect, become a go-to source for glamorous premiere dresses and award-show fare, and we have a hunch it has everything to do with his penchant for dense embroidery, princess-gown silhouettes, and decadent embellishing. Saab's Couture Spring '13 collection debuted in Paris today, and with it came 48 ethereal confections practically begging to be worn to some fancy gala. We can easily imagine Keira Knightley slipping into one of the icy-hued, crystalline-embroidered tulle gowns, or perhaps Gwyneth Paltrow taking on one of the crisp white body-skimming gowns as an homage to last year's standout Tom Ford number at the Oscars. We also spotted a funkier printed sheath in a '50s-inspired shape that has Kerry Washington written all over it. Luckily, we're smack dab in the middle of award season, and with the SAG Awards this Sunday, we're hoping to see any one of these 11 gowns sooner rather than later. Click on for our Elie Saab Couture picks and who we'd like to see wearing them on a red carpet near you.
Millions of beads, scrolling embroideries, and piles of lace might not conjure the idea of weightlessness outright, but in Elie Saab's capable hands that's precisely what you get. For Spring 2013 couture, the designer whipped those materials — as well as charmeuse, mesh, chiffon, and metallic thread, and even brocade floral prints — into a light-as-air cloud of heaven that was as breathtaking as it was soft.
