Jennifer Lawrence Hits Us With Not One but Three Colorful Looks

Happy Friday to us!

Happy Friday to us! It's a particularly good day, not only because it's almost the weekend, but also because Jennifer Lawrence hit us with not one, not two, but three stunning looks while making her press rounds in LA. For her first ensemble, it was all about the red knee-length pencil skirt. The actress then tucked a black sheer-sleeved sweater into it and finished it off with these Jimmy Choo studded Maya pumps ($1,150). For her second outfit, Jennifer shone bright in a knee-length turquoise dress, only to tone it down with a black blazer, strappy nude sandals, and Kara Ackerman rings. And for her final number, Jennifer pulled out all the stops in a yellow Emilio Pucci Resort '13 peplum dress. All three dresses packed a major rainbow punch, but only one of Jennifer's looks can be named "best dressed." Cast your vote below!

Beyonce Knowles's Inauguration Dress 2013

Before Beyoncé sang a single note at today's presidential inauguration, we were already floored by her incredible outfit — the singer arrived on the arm of husband Jay-Z and, in true Beyoncé fashion, left us breathless. Her black embellished Emilio Pucci gown was flawless, truly red-carpet worthy, and perfectly hugged her curves. Beyoncé beat the DC chill with a knee-length black Christian Dior coat (which she took off during her performance, giving us a detailed glimpse of that gorgeous dress), and accessorized the glamorous look with some Lorraine Schwartz emerald baubles — a pair of 80-carat emerald earrings and a 50-carat ring, to be exact. Let us also take a moment to appreciate Beyoncé's bright orange manicure, which not only popped perfectly against those green jewels, but also looked pretty great when holding a microphone. Golden Globes Afterparty: Jaime King

Jaime King went with a crisp white Emilio Pucci dress to the InStyle party this evening.

Jaime King went with a crisp white Emilio Pucci dress to the InStyle party this evening. Her dress's silhouette may have been sleek and laid-back, but the subtle chinoiserie pattern embroidered onto the maxi (did you see the dragon twisting up her torso?) made sure that her look was anything but predictable. She continued her streamlined look by pulling her hair neatly behind her ears to reveal her pretty diamond earrings. All she needed to complete her party-perfect ensemble was a singular cocktail ring for some added shine. What do you think of Jaime's dress?

Which Black Dress Wins the Red-Carpet Battle?

If there's one thing we've learned tonight, it's that 2013 might just be the year the tried-and-true black dress gets redesigned.

If there's one thing we've learned tonight, it's that 2013 might just be the year the tried-and-true black dress gets redesigned. We're talking about dresses that upped the style, drama, and sex appeal of a timeless red-carpet favorite. Naomi Watts, Jaime King, and Jennifer Lawrence all stepped onto the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet, showing us designers' new takes on black gowns featuring elements of shine, sheer cutouts, and soft draping. Naomi went minimal in Emilio Pucci, showcasing a bold sheer cutout, while both Jennifer and Jaime opted for dresses cinched at the waist. Jennifer's Prabal Gurung gown amped up the drama with gorgeous draping and leather detailing, while Jaime's Jason Wu number channeled Old Hollywood with its shimmering fabric. All three stopped us in our tracks, but which star do you think updated black the best?

Emilio Pucci Spring 2013

Peter Dundas once again brought his signature bohemian-cool to the runway for Emilio Pucci's Spring 2013 collection — but this time around, it was more Enter the Dragon than last year's Spanish gypsy.

Peter Dundas once again brought his signature bohemian-cool to the runway for Emilio Pucci's Spring 2013 collection — but this time around, it was more Enter the Dragon than last year's Spanish gypsy. The collection was steeped in Asian cultural references: slouchy bomber jackets were emblazoned with embroidered dragons, flowers, and tigers, and silky bed jackets were artfully tied, kimono style. To inject a bit of sex appeal, Dundas layered sheer pants under dresses and long tops, resulting in a pitch-perfect beach look for the season ahead. It was a collection that paid homage to the Pucci heritage — long, airy silhouettes and vivid patchwork-style prints — but also looked to the future, thanks to ornate detailing and Eastern-inspired undertones.

  • Trends: Sheer, embroidery, patches, printed silks, anoraks, jumpsuits.
  • Colors: White, mint green, black, khaki, gold.
  • Key Piece: The plastic embroidered raincoat and sheer pants.
  • Accessories: Cuff bracelets, espadrille wedges, metallic clutches.
  • Who Should Wear It: Fearless style setters with a penchant for taking risks; Rihanna, Lea Michele, and Miley Cyrus.

Emilio Pucci Spring 2013

This season, there have been plenty of explorations in eastern exoticism.
Emilio Pucci Spring 2013 | Runway

This season, there have been plenty of explorations in eastern exoticism. Vera Wang did it, Prada too. But no one, for Spring 2013 anyway, has done it as sexily as Peter Dundas did today with his languid play on the "opulence of Indochina."

Sheer was the name of the game here, and it came in the form of white chiffon and organza that covered (well, not really) the body in loose layers and billowing shapes. Wide-leg trousers, tunics, tank tops, and even a trench coat seemed to float off the body in barely there wisps; some pieces were anchored only by strategically placed opaque panels or delicate, crystal-embellished embroidery in dragon and tiger motifs. A later group consisting of silky anoraks, kimono-style jackets, column gowns, and slouchy pantsuits came in liquid-like silk and printed with bold blossom prints or adorned with metallic appliqué. Though less revealing, they embodied the same sensual spirit.
