According to John Pfeiffer, the show's casting director, there will be about 30 to 35 total models; in the casting video below, Cintia Dicker, Eniko Milhalik, Arlenis Sosa Pena, Bruno Tenorio, Yulia Kharlapanova, and Emina Cunmulaj all make appearances — but who will fill out the rest of the cast? Models Galore Hit Vienna for 2009 Life Ball Extravaganza

>> Before heading back to the States from Venice, a number of Chanel Cruise attendees — and show strutters like Toni Garrn and Siri Tollerod — made a stop over in Vienna for the annual Life Ball AIDS charity spectacular Saturday evening.  The town hall was surrounded by 2.5 million liters of water trucked in for this year's marine theme, and the guest list topped 40,000.

Amber Valletta opened the motorcade in a blue crystal-covered chariot, Anja Rubik was in attendance wearing her favorite label as of late, Balmain, and Sessilee Lopez sported a blonde wig for one of her turns during the catwalk festivities.  Heather Marks, Iris Strubegger, Emina Cunmulaj, Eliza Cummings, Kinga Rajzak, Sara Blomqvist all also participated, plus first-timer Stephanie Carta, who described the experience as "a fantasy world of glitter and botox and some kind of neverending celebration."

Jean Paul Gaultier

Jean Paul Gaultier's Fall 2008 Couture Cages Not So Cagey

>> Jean Paul Gaultier was high energy yesterday at his Fall 2008 Couture show, exuberantly explaining his choice of outfit to Hilary Alexander pre-show, and running through the fluorescent green laser beams that panned the runway post-show, poking Coco Rocha on the way.  For all of JPG's exuberance, I am less than excited about this sci-fi, cage-inspired outing.  Underneath all the decoration were a few solid pieces, namely a coral lace-like cage dress worn by Patricia Schmid and a tux suit worn by Sasha Pivovarova, but for the most part, a lot of it ended up looking less than luxe, especially if croc was involved.  *image: source

Christian Lacroix

Christian Lacroix Bugs Out for Fall 2008 Couture

>> Usually Christian Lacroix's designs are a little too overwrought to speak to me, but something about this set sits just right.  Maybe the scarlet backdrop is to blame, setting off all the intricate detailing with its vivid hue: the peekaboo lace sleeves, the bell-shaped cocktail dresses, the gossamer tufts; or maybe I've just gone buggy for Lacroix's insect-inspired fantasy world.

If so, I'm not the only one: the attendees showered the designer with carnations at the end of the show.

What Was She Thinking?!

Where there's fashion, there's fun.

Where there's fashion, there's fun. At least that's what my friend Simon Doonan and I preach. I'm sure my girl GiggleSugar would agree. Like Barneys, Fab loves to mix fashion and humor, so we present to you this new post that highlights the funny moments in fashion.

Some fun happens behind the seams, where models and designers shuffle around trying to get everything ready for show time. Take this backstage snapshot of models Emina Cunmulaj, Behati Prinsloo, and Heather Marks. It looks like Heather is rubbing Emina's breast for good luck, while Behati tries to get in on the action with her mouth. All the while, Emina is thinking, "What? Does my breast look like Buddha's belly to you?"

Do what you will with each humorous photo; giggle with it, caption it, copy it. Bottom line, have fun!
