>> Although many fashion houses like to carefully control the release of the whos and the whats of their upcoming campaigns, Chanel and Emporio Armani seem to be attempting a different tactic — creating pre-campaign buzz by shooting out in the open for all to see. First Karl Lagerfeld was widely photographed lensing the Chanel Fall 2010 campaign in New York a couple of weeks ago, and then on Friday, Karmen Pedaru was snapped in New York on an Emporio Armani shoot, presumedly for the brand's Fall 2010 campaign.
Fanfan1404 looked so delicate in lace as she headed to the opera. I admire that her dress isn't just any old LBD. The lace detail on the neckline is to die for, and the streamlined silhouette is sexy. Sheer tights, peep-toes, and a black clutch serve as sassy accompaniments. Hope you had fun!
Here's what she has on:
Congrats to Fanfan1404!
Everyone else, submit your looks, and I might feature you on FabSugar!
This Friday Giorgio Armani will kick things off with a live stream of his Emporio Armani collection on the new Emporio Armani website at 10:30AM EST. Later in the day (1:45PM EST), Jil Sander will showcase the fall collection at jilsander.com, and on Saturday Giorgio Armani presents his main runway show at 8:15AM EST exclusively on Vogue Italy's website.
Meanwhile Dolce & Gabbana takes things a step further, not only offering shows live on the website and Facebook page, but also optimizing the video stream for iPhone and Android mobile devices. Check out both shows from your video-enabled phones at live.dolcegabbana.mobi. D&G takes place Thursday, February 25 at 9AM EST, and the Dolce & Gabbana collection will be shown on Sunday, February 28 at 7AM EST.
This Spring, one-piece bathing suits are making a comeback. But a bigger, better(?), overarching trend is the life aquatic. Steve Zissou and crew would appreciate the multitude of scuba-inspired, palm tree-emblazoned, seascape-styled getups that swam up and down the runways. Spring always pays homage to beach life, but never so blatantly. Proenza Schouler's aquatic cool collection was the tour de force; I guarantee we'll be seeing the ocean-toned, feathered, textured pieces everywhere. Early adopters? Kate Bosworth in the ray print dress and Kristen Stewart in mismatched cuteness. You ready to live the life aquatic?
Images from the first Emporio Armani women's underwear and Armani jeans campaigns featuring Megan Fox (who replaced Victoria Beckham as the face of both last October) have been released. Shot in Los Angeles by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, the photos will break in February fashion books and on billboards in New York, Los Angeles, London, Milan, Rome, Paris and Tokyo. Giorgio Armani said of hiring Fox, "Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirt. Emporio Armani underwear and Armani jeans are all about a youthful attitude making her the perfect choice for the collections." Click through more images in the gallery below.
I always welcome Cate Blanchett's smashing style and serene smile. The actress attended a Giorgio Armani event in NYC clad in a royal Armani Privé one-shoulder dress with asymmetrical hemline. Purple satin pumps coordinate without being too matchy, while sparkly blue topaz earrings and a tennis bracelet add shine to her beautiful look.

Right after it was revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is taking over David Beckham's Emporio Armani underwear modeling contract, we get more exciting news: 23-year-old hottie Megan Fox — here, sitting front row at Giorgio Armani's Couture show — is set to be the new face, er body, for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. She's taking over from Victoria Beckham. But unlike David and Victoria, Cristiano and Megan won't be appearing together. Darn! Starting January, you can see Megan's billboards and print ads, which were shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in LA. Thoughts?
