Summer Shopping: Colorful Kaftans and Beach Cover-ups From Matthew Williamson, Etro, and Missoni

We're loving kaftans and cover-ups in cool shades of turquoise, white, and plum—the perfect palette for a Mediterranean beach destination.

We're loving kaftans and cover-ups in cool shades of turquoise, white, and plum—the perfect palette for a Mediterranean beach destination. Matthew Williamson's full length number, Missoni's belted tunic, Topshop's one-shoulder dress, and Etro's diaphanous poncho look equally chic for a seaside evening out as they do sitting poolside.

Dress Me Up: Valentine's Day, Relaxed and Romantic à la Etro

In a perfect world, it would be Valentine's Day every day.

In a perfect world, it would be Valentine's Day every day. Some people, like me, prefer to celebrate this sweet event with a low-key dinner and movie. It's easy and so romantic. While spending some quality time with your beau, try this look from Etro's Spring '10 collection. Cropped trousers, a sheer shirt, and silk blazer give off a sexy, sporty feeling, while soft hues add the ultimate feminine quality. For accessories, don pewter platform sandals and add extra omph via bangles and earrings. Store your necessities in a woven clutch and you're set for your cozy date.

Look of the Day: Hat Attack

FashionSheSays always amazes me with her Parisian-inspired ensembles.

FashionSheSays always amazes me with her Parisian-inspired ensembles. Today, she showed us how to accessorize an all-black ensemble. Her embellished gloves and floral scarf make a sensational statement. However, the pièce de résistance is her hat attack.

Here's what she has on:

Jacket: 3.1 Phillip Lim
Skirt: Juicy Couture
Hat: Makins
Scarf: Etro
Bangles: Vintage
Gloves: Moschino
Tights: American Apparel
Bag: Domina
Shoes: Miu Miu

Congrats to FashionSheSays!

Apparently Violet Turner is into designer wear too, as she shows us with her Etro dress in the 12th episode of this season's Private Practice. Laid-back as she is, she pairs it with a Rachel Pally vest, light gray tights, and Via Spiga boots for a more casual look. Renee Garvey earrings and a beaded cuff provide the finishing touches. Top Chef Style: Padma Lakshmi

Padma Lakshmi added just enough femininity to her black suit in this scene from Top Chef.

Padma Lakshmi added just enough femininity to her black suit in this scene from Top Chef. Her slicked back hair helped to accentuate her sheer, ruffled blouse (very similar to this one by Etro). She smartly tucked her top into high-waisted pants, which matched her cropped black blazer. Her knotted peep-toe pumps, gold bracelet, and hoop earrings completed the look perfectly. Even under a scrunched time line, Milan Fashion Week stunned with numerous beautiful collections.
Photos From 2010 Spring Milan Fashion Week

Even under a scrunched time line, Milan Fashion Week stunned with numerous beautiful collections. In this roundup, I highlight some of my favorite designers, including Versace, Ferragamo, Fendi, and Armani, to name a few. I admit, Dolce & Gabbana's collection was my favorite, but that's not stopping me from showing you Bottega's soft and swirly frock, Gucci's cut-out wonder, and Emilio Pucci's magical prints. I can't seem to resist this tropical bohemian masterpiece from Etro. Simply a-mazing.

Milan Menswear S/S '10 Is On Fire

Hello, thighs of steel.
2010 Milan Menswear Spring/Summer Show

Hello, thighs of steel. Milan Men's Fashion Week is still going strong and I'm continuing the fashionable manjoyment with incredible looks from D&G, John Varvatos, Prada, and Moschino, to name a few. Shorts are back in full force along with slim, tailored suits — so svelte and sexy. The occasional pop of color and prints also caught my attention and how cool are Moschino's mud splattered pants?
