Remember when I redid my closet? That is when I realized I oft feel blue when it comes to clothes. Which is ironic because clothes make me very, very happy. Blue is a versatile color that manages to look good on most people — and there are so many hues to choose from. When I stumbled across this Navy pin-tuck pleats 80s babydoll top, size S/M, I had to resist, considering I already have an abundance of blue. It's sheen, smocked collar and mini vertical pleats are fabulous. You could also play around with the belt to switch it up. I am continually convinced that you can create a unique look with the fast addition of a Fab accessory. Here's what I love about vintage: the details. Take this Geometric Navy Blue clutch ($40) circa 1950s. At first it looks sort of dull, but up close you see it has a fine corde fabric pattern and the triangular zipper pull is a truly unique detail. Also, in case you didn't know, a navy clutch is an unexpected alternative to a black one. Yep, this geo clutch is a keeper.

There's been a lot of necklace talk in the fashionsphere so I say, why wait for Fall, jump on the fun trend now. I love long necklaces for a variety of reasons: they're sophisticated, fun, and can be worn multiple ways. Take this 1950s extra-long necklace ($39) with goldtone chain and white glass beads. Drape it over anything and it adds instant glamour. Or, wrap it around multiple times for a dense choker. Gold and white never looked so fresh.

After the wave of Coachella fervor this weekend, I was feeling inspired to go '70s vintage. With a bit of digging, I found myself a perfect prize: this vintage pleated minidress.
