During a recent web hunt I discovered this Forever 21 V-Neck Batwing Sweater Top ($25). It made me feel like I hit the fashion jackpot. Now that I have it, I can share it with you. What attracted me to it was its unique silhouette and affordable price tag. I immediately bought it — and it didn't let me down. It's a cool way to temper loud skirts and to jazz up simple leggings. Plus, it's roomy, and therefore, super comfortable. A win-win, really.

I like bearing some skin. Being the California girl that I am, when it's time to bundle up I sometimes replace a flash of skin with a flash of flair. Easing into party season, I've been looking for ways to add individuality to last season's clothes. When I came across this Arden B Faceted Double Brooch ($28), I was not only stopped by the faceted teal jewels but the silver chain connector — it's so Vivienne Westwood, is it not? This would be equally fun on a heather gray tee and a fancy frock. I would so do the brooch with this.

Almost every necklace Dogeared creates, I fall in love with. I can't resist how delicate and understated they are.

Looking at this Mackage Hope Wool Blend Coat ($695), you would never guess it benefits breast cancer. That's because it doesn't have pink plastered all over it. But in fact, the inner white lining shows the Breast Cancer Research Foundation pink ribbon.

Fashion should not turn off just because your eyes close at night. Not to scare you, but what if something odd happens and you're forced to run outside? Or, what if your favorite bed buddy surprises you at 3 a.m.? I'm not suggesting wearing a cocktail dress or stacked bangles to bed. I'm merely saying if it's comfortable and cute, but not marked sleepwear, wear it anyway.

I currently have three leather jackets lined up for Fall. To my surprise, my Gray Faux Leather Biker Jacket by Mossimo ($35, left) is by far my favorite. The product shot doesn't do justice to its buttery texture. I loved it so much, I even got it in black. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a bit loose-fitting, but for that price, I found a solution. I simply rolled them up a few times for a more laid-back look. I give it two leathery thumbs up.
