Fall 2011 Ad Campaigns

>> In a month or so, Versace's H&M collection will hit stores. We've gotten a glimpse of the goods, which will be paraded in full on Nov. 8 during a runway show in New York. Now, the campaign has started popping up, featuring Versace favorites Daphne Groeneveld, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Lindsey Wixson, and Sasha Pivovarova — all blonde — styled by Joe McKenna and photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

>> Rihanna's first ads as face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans — she replaces Megan Fox — have just been released. Steven Klein shot the pop star in black and white in New York, sprawled across the hood — or alternatively, the back seat — of a black car. See the full set in the slideshow.

>> Although the "Carine's World" short film that Mario Sorrenti shot for Barneys has yet to make its debut, the retailer's full Carine Roitfeld-styled Fall 2011 print campaign — which features women (and one man — her son) Roitfeld culled from the ranks of her co-workers, friends, family, and just those whose style she admired — is now out. See who she picked, and read quotes from Roitfeld about why she picked them.

>> Natasha Royt styled Julia Restoin Roitfeld in a pared-down — albeit wind-blown — studio shoot for Hanii Y's Fall 2011 campaign. The six-look campaign is also accompanied by a behind-the-scenes video of Roitfeld vamping it up on-set for Dutch photographer Jan Welters. See all six looks here.

Esprit has been off our radar for a while now, but it looks like the brand, which was once our go-to for cute basics, has received a much-needed makeover. To kick off its new streamlined strategy, the brand enlisted top models Gisele Bundchen and Erin Wasson for its Fall campaign. "Our target consumer is now a woman who is forever 30," said John Gunn, continental president of Esprit North America, who also noted that all of its brands will be consolidated into one single moniker for an easier shopping experience. No doubt, Gisele and Erin piqued our interest, so we checked out the site in search of Autumn essentials, and — behold — we found some goodies. Check out out top three picks below:

• This peasant blouse is Parisian-grunge chic — especially when paired with black jeans and a leather jacket.
• We love this cool, print scarf. Pair it with a patterned top for a quirky mixed-print ensemble.
• We've been on the hunt for semirelaxed jeans. These tube slim jeans fit the bill.

>> Anna Dello Russo both styled and appears in the new campaign for Macy's private label brand INC — alongside Karolina Kurkova. But as the contemporary label's editor-at-large, Dello Russo's involvement doesn't end there: she "edited" a capsule collection of ready-to-wear and accessories for Macy's INC — including red and yellow cropped peacoats, color-blocked tunics, a cropped red fur chubby, all of which can be seen in the ads.

"I’ve edited so many things in my life, the mass market is another challenge for me,” said Dello Russo of the line, which is priced $30 to $139. “I wanted to see if I could push forward in a new way and Macy’s for me represents the biggest of American shopping institutions.”
