Fall 2012 Fashion Ad Campaigns

Fall 2012 ad campaigns have arrived, and with them comes a stunning array of visuals from some of our favorite fashion houses. Among the standouts: a whimsical Where the Wild Things Are-themed Mulberry shoot featuring Lindsey Wixson; a bewitching segment by Marc Jacobs featuring Magda Laguinge, Marie Piovesan, Marte Mei Van Haaster, Ros Georgiou, and Tati Cotliar in ghastly makeup; and a futuristic spread from Givenchy featuring Saskia de Brauw and styled by Carine Roitfeld. Also in the mix and of note: Chloe Sevigny's reprised role as the face of Miu Miu. All those — plus more to come as they arrive — in the slideshow.

The Latest Fall '12 Ads: Topshop, Diane von Furstenberg, and More

More Fall 2012 ad campaigns have cropped up, and with them, another batch of perfectly cozy layers, luxurious cold-weather textures, and rich jewel tones to crave.

More Fall 2012 ad campaigns have cropped up, and with them, another batch of perfectly cozy layers, luxurious cold-weather textures, and rich jewel tones to crave. Arizona Muse showed off Diane von Furstenberg's playful take on logo love, Karlie Kloss wrapped up in colorful knits for Stefanel, while Gisele Bundchen wore little more than her David Yurman best in the jewelry designer's campaign. Kate Moss reprised her role as Milan-based brand Liu Jo's leading lady, Topshop enlisted a new cast of fresh faces for its low-key ads, and UU Uniqlo Undercover went for A Bug's Life-inspired glamour. All this, plus more Fall '12 treats from Theyskens' Theory, Ralph Lauren, and Karl Lagerfeld, after the jump.

Behind the Scenes With Constance Jablonski & Eniko Mihalik at Carolina Herrera's Campaign Shoot

So far, only one image from Carolina Herrera's Fall 2012 campaign has seen the light of day — and it's a real beauty. Photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, it features Constance Jablonski and Eniko Mihalik passing down an Upper East Side street in a flurry of crimson and print. Now comes a behind-the-scenes video that shows exactly what we've been suspecting all along: the rest of the campaign — which also features Jablonski and Mihalik — will definitely be filled with images that are just as lovely as the first.

Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson Faces Off For Ann Taylor's Fall Ads

Kate Hudson is back for the second time as Ann Taylor's Fall face.

Kate Hudson is back for the second time as Ann Taylor's Fall face. The newly debuted ad campaign features Hudson wearing the brand's cool ladylike pieces — see the compete collection here — ranging from pretty peplum tops, silky blouses, animal prints, and pretty much everything else you need to kick-start your Fall wardrobe. While we're used to seeing Kate in more bohemian wares during her off-duty days, Kate's polished looks for Ann Taylor has inspired us to get chic for the upcoming season. Take a look at the rest of the ad campaign now, then tell us what you think of Kate's sleek looks for Ann Taylor.

Lana Del Rey Is the New Face of H&M's Fall Campaign

No more speculation necessary: singer-slash-indie-muse Lana Del Rey will be the face of H&M's Fall 2012 ad campaign worldwide — with a second Winter campaign already in the works.

No more speculation necessary: singer-slash-indie-muse Lana Del Rey will be the face of H&M's Fall 2012 ad campaign worldwide — with a second Winter campaign already in the works. What can we expect from the forthcoming ads? "The mood is very LA noir," said Donald Schneider, the mass retailer's creative director. From the look of it, the spreads take serious cues from Lana's own signature retro-inspired style. We spy a pale pink angora-blend sweater and wax-coated jeans, which certainly prove Fall-worthy and a cool throwback to more nostalgic silhouettes. To top it all off, Lana recorded a cover of "Blue Velvet" for a minifilm that will be released on hm.com on Sept. 19. While this isn't the starlet's first foray into fashion territory — there's a Mulberry bag named after her and she's already graced the cover of British Vogue — it's her first modeling gig and not too shabby a start, at that. Are you excited to see how Lana's old-school vibe translates into H&M's Fall ads?

Balenciaga

Balenciaga's Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Balenciaga Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Don't let the cast of newbies — Juliet Ingelby, Rosie Tapner, Linn Arvidsson, Sophie Hirschfelder, and Anniek Kortleve — fool you. Balenciaga's Fall 2012 ad campaign is '80s glam-azing, all the way. The girls — dressed in Fall 2012's space-invader tops, big-shouldered jackets, and iridescent carrot pants — pose on windswept sand dunes while the darkly lit sky overhead creates a moody vibe.

The images will grace the pages of major magazines this Fall, but you can preview them right now in the slideshow.

Lindsey Wixson Stars in Mulberry's Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Mulberry's Fall 2012 collection — with its furry coats and hypertextured knits — was rife with fantasy.
Mulberry Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Mulberry's Fall 2012 collection — with its furry coats and hypertextured knits — was rife with fantasy. It was, after all, inspired in part by one of the most fantastic children's tomes ever: Where the Wild Things Are. Fitting then that the brand's Fall 2012 ad campaign would follow those same imaginative themes. Shot by Tim Walker in England's Blackheath Forest (a place whose very name can't help but conjure fairy-tale visions), the images feature a Mulberry-clad Lindsey Wixson surrounded by a host of larger-than-life monsters and beasts.

Alexa Chung

Maje Taps Alexa Chung For Fall 2012 Campaign

After Madewell, Lacoste, Pepe, Superga, and DKNY Jeans, Alexa Chung can add yet another brand to her ever-growing campaign list: Maje.
Alexa Chung For Maje Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

After Madewell, Lacoste, Pepe, Superga, and DKNY Jeans, Alexa Chung can add yet another brand to her ever-growing campaign list: Maje. The French brand — whose previous campaign ambassadors include Lara Mullen and Vanessa Traina — has tapped the Brit style star as the face of its Fall 2012 campaign. Shot by photographer Glen Luchford at the Porte des Lilas Metro station in Paris, the black-and-white images feature a bed-headed Chung lounging on an empty train, and are meant to call to mind a moody '60s-era film. "Alexa embodies a modern heroine with style and charm," the brand explained in a statement. "Elegant yet edgy, her attitude reflects a personality that is both glamorous and rock 'n' roll."

Chung, for her part, is equally pleased. "I am thrilled to be the face of Maje," she said. "It's a brand I love and wear, so to be asked was a huge compliment."

Revealed: Louis Vuitton's Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Remember the $8 million, specially built locomotive Marc Jacobs sent barreling down the Fall 2012 Louis Vuitton runway?
Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Remember the $8 million, specially built locomotive Marc Jacobs sent barreling down the Fall 2012 Louis Vuitton runway? It's back, and this time, it serves as the backdrop of the house's Fall 2012 ad campaign. "We wanted to continue the journey we started with the fashion show — the glamour of travel and the romance of going somewhere," Jacobs explained. To do so, the train was deconstructed and shipped to a New York studio where it was rebuilt, filled with models, and photographed by Steven Meisel. "We wanted to maintain the comfortingly luxurious and old-fashioned journey that the collection represented. Opulence, the brocades, the beautiful cuts of the suits, and I guess, the distant romantic glamour of travel," Jacobs said.

Burberry Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Up-and-comers Gabriella Wilde and Roo Panes star in Burberry's just-released Fall 2012 ad campaign, which — with its rain-soaked streets and fog-smudged backgrounds — is a striking homage to Britain's notoriously gloomy weather.

"We wanted to play with everything that's at the heart of the Burberry world – celebrating our brand and London through imagery, film, music, weather and our iconic outerwear, all in a very poetic and British way," chief creative officer Christopher Bailey said of the images, which were photographed by Mario Testino on the campus of Greenwich's Royal Naval College. "We shot the series of cinematic, emotive black-and-white images and short films with the incredibly talented Gabriella Wilde and Roo Panes, who effortlessly bring the campaign and our collections to life across all of our platforms," Bailey explained.

While the campaign's short films won't be released until later this season, here's a peek at the Fall 2012 images.
