Diane has been busy attending couture shows like Chanel and attending swanky private dinners, so it was refreshing to see a more off-duty look from the actress. Notice how Diane tempered her eye-catching railroad-striped jeans with a simple white tee, black satchel, and Summer sandals. The standout? Her Parisian-cool black newsboy hat with chain trim. Valentino's runway attracted the likes of Olivia Palermo, Clémence Poésy, Kim Kardashian, and Nicky Hilton, all of whom have shown their love for Valentino on red carpets before. These style-setters really impressed us with their front-row ensembles. Olivia and Clemence went for color, choosing a pretty shade of pink and a punchy red hue, respectively, while Kim and Nicky proved that the key to a great LBD is texture. Karl Lagerfeld showed a dark and decadent collection for Chanel's Fall 2011/12 couture show last night at the center dome of the Grand Palais. A stark contrast to last year's pastel-filled collection, Lagerfeld focused on darker hues, save for the occasional injection of dark beige and fuchsia, creating suit sets and gowns befitting of Coco's femme-meets-masculine style. Boxy, peplum-embellished suits made in the house's signature black and white tweeds took the forefront for daywear, while column gowns adorned with a mix of soft, feathery embellishments, beads, ruffles, and tiers provided a magical outlook on eveningwear.
