Christy Turlington Burns Returns as Face of Calvin Klein Underwear

Christy Turlington Burns will return to Calvin Klein as the face of the brand's Fall 2013 Underwear ad campaign, WWD reports.

Christy Turlington Burns will return to Calvin Klein as the face of the brand's Fall 2013 Underwear ad campaign, WWD reports. The campaign was shot in Vieques, Puerto Rico, by photographer Mario Sorrenti and was inspired by the label's "signature and provocative imagery."

Turlington Burns's long-standing relationship with Calvin Klein stems all the way back to her first runway show for its Fall 1987 season. Since then, she has starred in Calvin Klein's Collection, Underwear, Jeans, and Swimwear ads, as well as its Eternity and Contradiction fragrance ads. Needless to say, Turlington Burns is among a select group of models who have earned Calvin Klein veteran status, with Kate Moss, Lara Stone, and Natalia Vodianova also making the cut. And with the upcoming Fall ads set to debut in the September magazine issues, she continues her reign. Before the real thing hits, take a look at some of her past Calvin Klein Underwear campaigns, here in the gallery.

Consider Gap's Fall Lookbook Your Guide to the New School of Denim

For Fall 2013, Gap turns its focus to classic denim pieces, boxier silhouettes, and colorblocked styling.

For Fall 2013, Gap turns its focus to classic denim pieces, boxier silhouettes, and colorblocked styling. In effect, the casual dresser has a wardrobe that's both polished and easy to wear again and again. We love the slightly unexpected inclusion of Spring hues (soft peaches, cotton-candy pinks, and tangerine corals) against chunkier cold-weather layers. But then again, that seems to be the brand's aim here — to bring about unlikely seasonal pairings, the kind that actually make a lot of sense. Take, for instance, the knitted mock pastel-colored turtleneck and cuffed khaki trousers, or the dark jean jacket layered with a thin puffer coat and black skater skirt. Both looks render an aesthetic that's equal parts lighthearted and functional. But most of all, Gap has inspired us to rework our own denim staples not just for Fall, but for right now. See what we mean inside.

On the heels of Kate Spade Saturday's online store debut, we're already getting our first look at the brand's Fall 2013 lineup. The verdict? It's cool-girl styling at its finest. Sure, we're currently shedding our cold-weather layers in favor of shortened hemlines and breezier silhouettes, but there are still a few things we can take away from Kate Spade Saturday's Autumn preview right now. Sneak Peek: Get Up Close With Ann Taylor's Fall '13 Collection

Basics with not-so-basic details might just be the best way to sum up Ann Taylor's Fall '13 lineup.

Basics with not-so-basic details might just be the best way to sum up Ann Taylor's Fall '13 lineup. The label may have made its name as the go-to for work staples like pencil skirts and sophisticated suiting — and you'll still find all of those pieces here — but this time around, they're delivered with lace, pops of print, and a hearty dose of accessories that'll set you apart from the rest of the office crowd. Fall is crafted in easy neutrals, grays, blacks, and hints of burgundy and navy, and while the silhouettes are timeless, the attention to detail is much more extraordinary. Bow-adorned skinny belts, striped blazer, polka-dot dresses, leather finishes, and a very cool shoe collection mean that you might very well look to this collection for your working wardrobe, but you'll end up wearing it just about everywhere else, too. Hats Off: All the Coolest, Quirkiest Toppers From Russia Fashion Week

They say a great hat speaks for itself, but some of the headpieces that came down the runways during Russia Fashion Week could have been shouting.

They say a great hat speaks for itself, but some of the headpieces that came down the runways during Russia Fashion Week could have been shouting.

The hats ranged from sculptural creations like Slava Zaitsev's orange and black design at left to the sumptuous fur caps from Bunker Z and the intricate jeweled and feathered creations from Marina Makaron. Even the oversize beanies at Alena Akhmadullina clearly had statements to make.

A look at those hats and more, here in the gallery.

Jason Wu Brings His Fall '13 Collection to San Francisco's City Hall

After showing his spectacular Fall 2013 collection during New York Fashion Week, Jason Wu brought his glamorous (and first-lady-approved) designs to San Francisco for an SF Opera and Neiman Marcus-sponsored event titled The Art of Fashion: Jason Wu.

After showing his spectacular Fall 2013 collection during New York Fashion Week, Jason Wu brought his glamorous (and first-lady-approved) designs to San Francisco for an SF Opera and Neiman Marcus-sponsored event titled The Art of Fashion: Jason Wu. City Hall's North Light Court served as the elegant, dramatic backdrop, and the evening marked Wu's first-ever time showing a collection in the Bay Area — and we can safely say it was a huge success. The collection was a feast for the eyes. The floor-length gowns, skinny tailored trousers, and opulent silhouettes trimmed in feathers and fur garnered gasps, excitement, and applause from the audience, while the booming Amy Winehouse soundtrack kept the crowd feeling upbeat.

In addition to being a beautiful showcase, the event also served to support a great cause: proceeds from the evening benefited San Francisco Opera Guild's music instruction programs, which help bring arts education to more than 50,000 students in over 200 schools throughout Northern California. Fashion and philanthropy? You can't really beat that. See all the best photos from the event — along with some up close and personal snaps from our Instagram feed — when you click through now.

Friends & Associates Fall 2013 Is a "Candy Land Army" of Coolness

Matthew Edelstein's Friends & Associates line just keeps getting better.

Matthew Edelstein's Friends & Associates line just keeps getting better. Last season the editor-turned-designer added denim to his initial offering of easy-wearing tops, shorts, and tunics; thanks to a great response, Fall 2013 sees an even broader selection of that — plus outerwear and leather. "This collection is inspired by the iconic pieces in a military uniform: the peacoat, the bomber, the military sweater," Edelstein told us. "We take it to an unexpected place by mixing in sweet pastels." Icy mint and sorbet peach soften up the otherwise black, ivory, and olive palette, resulting in a utilitarian-tinged collection that feels pretty, not harsh. "It's the Candy Land Army," Edelstein explained. Consider us fully enlisted.

McQ Alexander McQueen Fall 2013

It's only his second collection for McQ Alexander McQueen, but Alistair Carr has long since hit his stride.

It's only his second collection for McQ Alexander McQueen, but Alistair Carr has long since hit his stride. His use of the Prince of Wales check is a spot-on trend, but he infused the McQueen aesthetic by applying it to motorcycle jackets and suits covered in the screen-printed stripes of a tiger.

That idea — letting the codes of the the company's more expensive label inform what goes on in its secondary collection — seems to be guiding Carr's work. The nipped-in waist and wide, metallic belts Sarah Burton has been showing in the main collections appeared here, too, most notably on a wide-sleeved sweater dress and in a black-and-red double-breasted coat.

Leave It to Kate Moss to Wear Fall 2013's Most Coveted Pieces First

Leave it to Kate Moss to further her résumé of impeccably styled looks with ones taken fresh off the Fall '13 Paris runways.

Leave it to Kate Moss to further her résumé of impeccably styled looks with ones taken fresh off the Fall '13 Paris runways. But if anyone can do it, she can, and she'll wear them first. For us, spotting the British beauty in these just-debuted creations not only signals her loyalty to the designers behind the label, but also supplies us with a cool off-the-runway styling application. Case in point: Moss stepped out at the Kérastase party in London last night in a sexy lace-trimmed, plaid-printed minidress that came down the Louis Vuitton Fall '13 runway only a week ago. In fact, Moss also walked in the show, supporting her longtime friend Marc Jacobs, but modeled a long, sheer blue gown instead of the shorter slip dress she donned yesterday. In true Kate Moss tradition, she topped the mini off with a luxe furry coat and black pointy-toe pumps.

Her Louis Vuitton-clad appearance, pictured above, is actually the second time she's worn a Fall '13 number within days of it coming down a Paris catwalk. To see which Fall '13 look she wore — hint: it's a sparkly one — just keep reading.
