Michael Kors just debuted his first jewelry collection launching in August for Fall 2011. The line made in conjunction with Fossil, the same brand he collaborates with on his watch line, features polished oversized cuffs, buckle bracelets, earrings, rings, and a bevy of chain necklaces dipped in gold, silver, and rose gold finishes. "You could wear them with anything from a gown to a pair of jeans because that's what I think modern accessories are all about," said Kors. The best part? Prices range from $45 to $395, so you can pick and choose from your budget range. We especially love Kors's chain creations: "Chains are all at once very classic, utilitarian, but glamorous all at once," said Kors. We agree, check out pieces from the collection and tell us what you think.

The chain and buckle-centric line of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings hits stores in August and runs $45 to $395. Dita Von Teese recently shared that she loves storing her makeup in vintage compacts and lipstick holders, and that's the impetus behind this post. So check out 10 lovely vintage-inspired (and straight-up vintage) finds now.
We've been getting nostalgic, going back to cool, and no one can argue the accessory that preaches school the best is the backpack. Rihanna exhibits her utilitarian flair with a leather backpack, juxtaposed with a sweet Parker floral dress and sparkly pumps. Leather backpacks are kinda tough, so pairing one with frills is super smart. Rihanna would have been voted best dressed at my cool school . . .
Jules Cobb looks casually cute in her striped Fossil tee in this scene from Cougar Town. She wears it well and simply, adding blue jeans, her usual gold Jennifer Meyer jewelry, and platform sandals for an easy, relaxed look.
