But what I'm more captivated by is her cool black-and-white outfit, complete with a sheer scarf and black leather boots. The tuxedo tank brings in an androgynous air, while her black mini dress shows off her feminine stems. Model perfection, I say!

For a subtly sporty feel, this Spring you can draw the string. Drawstrings are popular on bags, tops, dresses and, of course, outerwear. Ever since that genius sports jacket Kit made on episode three of Project Runway flannel has been on my mind. Then, I realized I don't own anything flannel. Oh wait! I have a pair of turquoise pajama pants with martinis on them. But seriously, this look from Carolina Herrera's Fall runway takes flannel to a high level of opulence. Actually, I'm feeling quite embarrassed about divulging my cheesy pajama pants to you right about now. Goodbye . . .

It is only fair to provide you with the other side of the coin. In fashion, there is almost always a flip side — variety is the spice of life. No matter what the overarching seasonal trends are, there's something for everyone in the wonderful world of fashion. (Fashion bliss moment of silence.) So, the other day I showed you high waisted trouser options and for those of you not feeling them, try a pair of black stovepipe pants on for size. They don't call them "stovepipe" for nothing; these are slimming, chic and classic. Leggings have morphed into these bad boys, that work best with belted volume on top for a sleek hourglass silhouette. I swing both ways, like I said, there's something for everyone.

An alternative to mini dresses, when you want to show some leg but crave a sportier look shorts are a fresh contender. I have always liked shorts; I believe they can be really cute and chic when worn right. Now you all have mixed feelings about shorts so hopefully I can turn you onto them - as long as you promise to wear them by the rules! I think shorts have a bad rap, because so many people wear them wrong. Here are some tips:

• Show the knees please! Below the knee should be kept to a cute cropped pant.
• When worn with flip-flops or sneakers it looks too college casual - bring on the femme factor with cork heels or exotic flats.
• Make sure your legs are buffed and moisturized! You can still pride your paleness but ashy skin is never cute.

Most of Spring's shorts are cuffed and roomy so keep the rest of the silhouette loose. Or flaunt a slim sexy top and volume on the bottom. See, it's fun to play around with shorts!
