Gia Coppola's New Short For DVF Current/Elliott Is Not Your Average Fashion Film

>> While most fashion films err on the side of dreamy abstraction, Gia Coppola's new short features an actual story.

>> While most fashion films err on the side of dreamy abstraction, Gia Coppola's new short features an actual story. In it, a struggling Hollywood screenwriter finds inspiration after a night of drunken debauchery — all while dressed to the nines in DVF's Current/Elliott collection, for which the film was created. And though the four-minute short may be more straightforward than most, there's still plenty of quirky charm; look for cheeky references to classic films, a '60s-inspired color palette, and a jaunty piano score by Robert Schwartzman. Tracy Antonopoulos stars, and Aubrey Plaza provides the voice-over.
