Lucy Hale's Polka-Dot Dress Goes Ladylike With Pointy Pumps
Lucy Hale stepped out in LA styling a sweet polka-dot dress with black pointy pumps and a bevy of gold accessories by Giles & Brother. The actress toted a two-tone leather shoulder bag to add a pop of color to her look, while her beaded black necklace, wrap ring, gold cuff bracelet ($185), and knotted bracelet ($165), both by Giles & Brother, injected just the right amount of bling. Channel Lucy's cute ladylike look with a polka-dot mini and pointed black pumps for your next dinner date or swap the pumps for sandals and jean jacket for a daytime version.

Trend Alert: Tribal Jewels
It's always a pleasure seeing Nicole Richie's cute face, but look at her awesome finger! If I were wearing sweet tribal jewels like her, I'd be striking a pose, too. Her woven belt even plays into the exotic vibe. But that black/white/silver pointer ring is so rad, not to mention her claw-like pendant; I'd love to know where she found such fierce adornments. Nicole has her treasures, but here's some fresh options for you. Play them up samurai style like Nicole, or just add to your mix for added eclecticism.
Fab's June Must Haves
Shades, romper, bright bag, fresh jewels, sexy cover up, two-tone lace-up open-toe booties, Summer has arrived! Although Summer is largely about accessories and bikinis for me — and the ideal is the less clothes, the better — life is not a beach for all. I've been known to wear beach cover-ups as dresses, and you will never find me bagging on flip-flops. Whatever your reservations, they should go out the window this time of year. Have fashion fun. Vote for Summer.
A Fabby Halloween: Wild Thing
Every little kid, and big kid, is excited for Spike Jonze's film adaption of the endearing book Where The Wild Things Are. Opening Ceremony may possibly be the most stoked, its Wild Thing collection is awesome. The film releases soon — Oct. 16 — and I realized it's an easy, adorable, fabulously fuzzy Halloween idea. You may already have some furry boots or a fur vest, and really, the furrier the better. Add some spiked jewelry and tribal touches and go wild.
Get ready for lots more Halloween ideas as my Fabby Halloween series '09 takes off. Join my A Fabby Halloween group where we can share ideas, photos, and revel in Halloween happiness.
Fab Finding Follow-Up: King Tut Exhibit at the de Young Museum
Last weekend, I headed to the exclusive King Tut exhibit at the de Young Museum here in SF — so exciting. I saw Tutankhamun's tomb, ancient artifacts, and precious objects relating to the 18th dynasty. Cool, huh? My educational self-immersion took a whole day, so I needed you to put together a sleek ensemble that would withstand a lot of walking and staring.
I started you off with these Giles & Brother Tiny Pyramid Stud Earrings ($78) because they're an ode to beautiful, ancient Egypt. Let's see what you came up with!
Look #1, created by chloe bella, complements the theme. That snake bracelet is slithery slick.

Glitterati: Giles & Brother
Jewelry creator extraordinaire Philip Crangi has dazzled us with his raw approach to design for a while now. What happens when you throw another Crangi into the mix? Giles & Brother.
Philip, along with his sister Courtney, draws inspiration from a range of places, from classic estate jewelry to African textiles. But what makes this diffusion line more wallet-friendly is replacing semiprecious stones with rhinestones and vintage beads. As long as it sparkles, I'll take it. Prices range from $75 to $300 and the line can be found at Barneys Co-op, Shopbop, and Oak NYC.

I Wanna Be Adorned: Fab Party Jewels
With the recent revival of costume jewelry, everyone can look their Hollywood best without breaking the bank. Personally, I like to mix high and low fashion jewelry to create an eclectic party look. In my make-believe world, I would pair these decadent Missoni Floral Drop Earrings ($420) with some funky stacked bangles from Forever 21 to temper its delicate nature. I say go for the gusto and pick one dramatic piece to complement your look. The rest of your jewels should take backseat and complement the showstopper. Get it? Got it? Good.
