Mention the word gray and most people think of a gloomy day filled with dark skies and rain. The moody color does have a tendency to evoke dark thoughts, but when it is put on a spectrum and paired with lighter colors then it can create an elegant nursery that is right on trend this season. We first spotted the emergence of gray nurseries in the Fall Restoration Hardware catalog, and now it is popping up everywhere! Take a look at some fun ways to add the modern color to a baby's room to help convey warmth throughout the year.

Whenever I face a color selection, nine times out of 10 I choose gray. I love the relaxing, mellow tone on pretty much everything, and I'm especially smitten with it in stripes. So when I saw the Ikea Bärbar tray ($4) in this glittering tablescape, I couldn't get it out of my mind; I had to have it! It's simple and functional and pretty enough to be on display, holding shiny odds and ends, like how Rebecca of Loving Living Small styled hers. Inspired by my new tray and this perfectly crisp room I stumbled upon by Dutch stylist Anoukb, I've rounded up my favorite gray and white striped pieces for the home. Slushing through the January snow and teeth-chattering weather, a lot of you may be feeling gray and gloomy. I, on the other hand, am feelin' gray. It's the color I'm loving the most lately, so I thought I'd take a look at some gray interiors. Half way between black and white, you'd think there's not much to know about gray. But boy oh boy, there are so many different grays! From cool yellow to saucy purple, the undertones of the shade you choose can totally affect the vibe of your room. Let's take a look at a few gorgeous grays that are getting me going in this grim season.
This cute and comfy look from Fab reader coletteosuna totally has me thinking warm thoughts. She's completely layered in gray — starting with a sleek slate-colored turtleneck and girly striped dress, then adding thick tights, knee socks, and an oversized gray cardigan, belted at the waist. Black patent leather boots complete her super-chic, moody ensemble.
Congrats to coletteosuna!

In case you haven't noticed, we're a little color combo crazy here at Fab. Our latest obsession? Kate Moss's camel and gray pairing in London recently. What makes this mix so special is that the camel lends maximum chicness, while the gray brings it back down to earth. Some glam, some cool — all fabulous! Kate's style is always sultry chic. Last night at Chopard's 150th anniversary party in NYC, the actress showed her support (and love) of jewels by wearing Chopard’s chalcedony, sapphire, diamond, and iolite chandelier earrings and a multicolor pearl and diamond ring. She also threw a multicolor pearl necklace over a drapey smokey lavender silk dress. Light gray super platform pumps heighten her. Dazzling.
