I wrote about the pale yellow and gray trend nearly two years ago, but baby's still got a hold on me. I spotted this subtle living room in Homes and Gardens, and couldn't help but want to scratch everything in my own digs and re-create this look.
Naturally, the Ligne Roset sofa and the B&B Italia Fat Fat — Lady Fat Table make the room all the more crave worthy, but the palette is really what makes me swoon. The room has a mostly white and pale gray background with small punches of yellow and some black elements to balance out the pastel. A low table, flokati rug, comfy sofa, and long curtain panels create casual comfort. To get this look, read more
Celebrity Style: Kate Moss
Just a day ago, at the Mummy Rocks charity event where she auctioned off a kiss, Kate Moss was head-to-toe black. Today, she's monochrome light and equally fabulous. The Super left a business meeting looking anything but stuffy. Rather, she kept it breezy in a light gray blazer, a white tank, and light cropped jeans. Nude ankle-strap sandals, Ray-Ban aviators, and a gray suede satchel up her cool factor. What a breath of fresh air, no?

Roundup: Grays With Blue and Purple Undertones
As you can tell from my recent paint job, I'm really loving grays with blue/purple undertones. I guess I'd consider it a mix of sapphire, amethyst, and slate. I went for a big dose of the hue with Benjamin Moore's Amethyst Shadow on my walls, but I wouldn't mind bringing home some more of the color. So, I decided to scout out my favorite shops for this latest color pick. The shade turned up on everything from vases and bowls to bedding and rugs, and even furniture and lighting. I guess I'm not alone in my love! Let's hope I don't get sick of this color! To see my finds, read more
Victoria Beckham, Monochrome Aviator: Love It or Hate It?
We all know Victoria Beckham isn't afraid to try something new. This time, the celebrity designer took the meaning of jet-setting attire to a whole new level. A recent trip to LAX inspired Beckham to wear a gray suede trench coat and matching captain's hat by Loewe. A pair of oversize aviators, Yves Saint Laurent platform pumps, and Valentino bag complete her ensemble — all cool grays. Leave it to Victoria to show off her version of pilot chic. Do you love it or hate it?

Etsy Find: Appetite Home Fern Pillow
It's been a while since the pale yellow and gray trend made its debut, but the color pairing hasn't lost its appeal on me. I'd be a proud lioness if this Appetite Home White Yellow and Grey Fern Pillow ($28) were mine. Not only is its palette utterly delightful, but it's pared-down, nature-inspired print is simple and versatile. It's also printed with nontoxic inks, which I appreciate. I could easily build a calm space around this design . . . just add some original art, a few reclaimed wood elements, and perhaps a gray twill sofa. Want to see more fern motifs? Dress Me Up: Gold & Gray
Gold & gray go together like peanut butter and jelly. Meaning, they're fine alone, but when combined, they produce even richer flavors. Gray calms down gold, while gold pumps up gray's volume a notch or two. The result is part vivid, part mellow.
When I close my eyes, I envision this Mason by Michelle Mason Metallic Gold Corset ($83, originally $275) paired over a fitted heather gray long-sleeve tee. The bottom layer would tame the corset and make it more everyday wearable. Yummy — try it sometime.
Celebrity Style: Michelle Trachtenberg
Michelle Trachtenberg knows that the simplicity of a draped dress can go a long way. To fete the opening of the the W hotel in Atlanta, the actress contrasted her milky complexion with a sophisticated silver Catherine Malandrino dress and deco accessories. I like how the embellished belt adds interest to her subdued palette. A bejeweled satin clutch by Swarovski, dainty black sandals, and rhinestone earrings complete her cunning look.

Celebrity Style: Selena Gomez
Adorable actress and singer, Selena Gomez, is making her debut on Fab. And what a stylish debut it is. She attended a Golden Globes gift lounge looking icy cool in her monochrome gray ensemble. On top she wore an asymmetrical ruffle blouse, topped with a light gray blazer. On bottom she wore gray skinny jeans and nude suede peep-toe pumps. Silver hoop earrings and a pendant necklace provide just enough accessories. I'm jumping on the icy-cool bandwagon, will you join me?

The Look For Less: Alexander Wang Knit Vest
I'm still smitten with vests. They're versatile, chic, and have a cool menswear vibe. Peep this Alexander Wang Knit Vest ($317). I can easily wear this slouchy vest alone or layered with a thin, long-sleeved top. The ruched pockets and deep v-neck lends a unique touch but it's way out of my budget. Let's see if I can find a similar look.

Celebrity Style: Eliza Dushku
GQ's Men of the Year celebration brought out a gaggle of gorgeous stars but Eliza Dushku stood out. The actress doesn't do many red carpets — it's nice to see her fresh face. For the occasion, Eliza sported Black Halo's pleated bodice cami dress, which fits her flawlessly. But what I'm more in love with are her gray suede ruffled Prada shoes. Sigh. Way to subtly match the dress with the shoes with the eyeshadow.
