You can always count on Hervé Léger for the sexier stuff, and the label's Fall 2013 collection certainly delivers that with a much subtler approach. The 14 Sexiest Looks From the Hervé Léger Fall 2013 Runway

With the standard Hervé Léger mantra intact — leave no curve behind — the Fall 2013 collection presented an irreverent mix of dresses and separates as sexy as they were sporty.

With the standard Hervé Léger mantra intact — leave no curve behind — the Fall 2013 collection presented an irreverent mix of dresses and separates as sexy as they were sporty. Sure, Max and Lubov Azria may have drawn upon the opulence of nature and the works of French artist couple Les Lalanne, a fact supplied by the show notes, but the most apparent point made in this collection was its departure from the overtly sexy tough-girl references. Dresses were cut tight at the knee or, even better, tailored in flouncier fit-and-flares, then paired over leggings. Luxurious fox-fur hooded coats came storming down the runway, all with subtle sheer details. And harnesses still had a place in the Léger collection, they just didn't have quite the same edged-up effect. Instead, it was all about the chic baseball cap this season. The collection called for a sexiness defined by strategic sheer detailing and feminine shapes. See how Léger Fall 2013 did it — keep clicking.

Get a Bronze Glow, Even in Winter, Thanks to Hervé Léger

Hervé Léger by Max Azria sent bronzed beauties down the catwalk, a move that directly contrasted with usual Fall 2013 palettes.

Hervé Léger by Max Azria sent bronzed beauties down the catwalk, a move that directly contrasted with usual Fall 2013 palettes. The hair was windblown in order to emulate the style of a motorcycle-riding tough-girl, while the contoured makeup also fell in line with his California-cool vibe.

The look: Finger-styled strands (under hats), beach-bunny tans, and nearly black nails
The inspiration: LA biker girls
Who would wear it: The woman who counts chains and studs in her fashion repertoire

NYFW: Brighten Your Fall With Byrdie Bell's Yellow Tweed Skirt

It's actress and model Byrdie Bell's job to look good in front of the cameras, and she didn't disappoint when she styled a yellow tweed Alice + Olivia miniskirt ($297) with a black leather jacket at the Alice + Olivia show Spring 2013 show at New York Fashion Week.

Expect Nothing Less Than Sexiness — and Harnesses — at Hervé Léger

Six words for Hervé Léger's Spring 2013 collection: sexy silhouettes and even more harnesses.

Six words for Hervé Léger's Spring 2013 collection: sexy silhouettes and even more harnesses. Not that we're complaining — quite the opposite, actually. If there's one thing we can expect from Max and Lubov Azria, it's a solid lineup of body-con fits, meant to evoke the ultimate in femininity and sultriness. The time around, the husband-and-wife design duo crafted an army of cutout dresses and skin-baring monokinis, all decked out in Southern-inspired patchwork prints, appliqué, embroidery, and — oh yeah — slick leather harnesses and wide, cummerbund-like belts. See it to believe it — here's your front-row view of Hervé Léger's Spring 2013 runway show. Watch it now!

Hervé Léger Spring 2013

Inspired by a Southern — Gee's Bend, AL, to be exact — design aesthetic of embroidery, ornate patchwork, and quilting appliqué, Hervé Léger served up a fresh batch of supersexy body-con silhouettes for Spring 2013.

Inspired by a Southern — Gee's Bend, AL, to be exact — design aesthetic of embroidery, ornate patchwork, and quilting appliqué, Hervé Léger served up a fresh batch of supersexy body-con silhouettes for Spring 2013. And this time around, Max and Lubov Azria's unforgiving formfitting dresses, sent out to a soundtrack of high-energy harmonica music, conveyed one palpable message: women's power. For each geometric pattern-enhanced or striped bandage iteration, there was a strong, sculptural leather harness, chain, or embellished stud and tassel detail to go with. Thus, the combined force of skin-baring wares — there were even some monokinis spotted — and overtly bold add-ons provided the audience with a feeling that this Spring, no one would be messing around with the Hervé Léger girl. Get our trend breakdown below, then click on for the complete Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2013 collection.

  • Trends: Strength within details (studding, harnesses, and chains), body-con silhouettes, and trumpet hems.
  • Colors: A muted palette of earthy tones mixed with navy blues and black.
  • Key Piece: The nude vertically-striped trumpet hem dress that exudes equal parts sexy and flirty.
  • Accessories: Gladiator-inspired peep-toe sandals, wide leather cummerbund belts, harnesses, minaudières, and patent leather portfolio clutches.
  • Who Should Wear It: The girl with nothing to hide — she's got to be confident and ready to show some curves. We're thinking Eva Longoria and Bar Refaeli would look stun-ning in these Spring '13 pieces.

Go Spunky in Hot Pink à la Selena Gomez at the Teen Choice Awards

For her Teen Choice Awards appearance, Selena Gomez opted to go the spunky route in a hot-pink Dquared2 dress and nude Herve Leger heels.

For her Teen Choice Awards appearance, Selena Gomez opted to go the spunky route in a hot-pink Dquared2 dress and nude Herve Leger heels. There is more than one thing we admire about Selena's choice: first the color is super fresh and playful, second the pleated skirt makes things even more interesting, and third we love that she opted to finish off with the minimalist ankle-strap sandal trend. If you have a fun party coming up, mimic Selena's formula by pairing an equally bright pink dress with minimalist sandals for a bold-slash-sleek look. Shop our favorites below to get started!

How Hervé Léger's Wearable, Equestrian Look Came Together

Hervé Léger is known for body-conscious dresses, but for Fall 2012, the collection included tougher elements such as harnesses and fur accents. Such a bold statement was set off by a high ponytail and minimalist makeup. Here, days before the runway show, we captured the hair and makeup test in process — that's the time when the designer and beauty team decide how the models will look. In the end, the equestrian-inspired hair and makeup changed slightly for the show. See if you can spot the difference, and see how it all came together. Makeup: Lisa Butler for Temptu. Hair: Neil Moodie for Bumble and bumble. Model: Carolina Thaler.
