With Spring galas in full swing, Gwyneth Paltrow's book tour, and the usual premieres and parties, there was no shortage of celebrity style fodder of the most glamorous kind this week. NYC's April Fools' fete drew red-carpet arrivals from Hilary Rhoda in fiery Valentino and Olivia Palermo in bright yellow Katie Ermilio, for starters. Meanwhile, Paltrow proved her style prowess in a week's worth of chic looks for her book tour, and Freida Pinto showed off the perfect cocktail dress at the Indian Film Festival in LA. Olivia Palermo was joined by Nicky Hilton and Emmy Rossum for the New Yorkers For Children annual Spring dinner, presented by Valentino, last night in NYC. Olivia, who got into the spirit of the season by donning a bright yellow Katie Ermilio gown, had boyfriend Johannes Huebl on her arm for the charitable evening out. Nicky was accompanied by boyfriend James Rothschild, and models Erin Heatherton and Hilary Rhoda were also on hand to attend the annual event that aims to support youth in foster care.

Emmy has been putting in time in her hometown after wrapping the current season of her hit show, Shameless, with the season finale airing on Sunday night. She is not only a small-screen star, but is also pursuing a career in music, and she put her skills to use signing the national anthem at the Mets' opening day at Citi Field last week.

Lena Dunham and Allison Williams were joined by their castmates and quite a few celebrity friends when they premiered the second season of Girls in NYC last night. Lena wore a strapless Valentino jumpsuit while Allison wore an Altuzarra ensemble. Zosia Mamet and Jemima Kirke, who gave birth to her second child seven weeks ago, hammed it up with their costars on the red carpet while the men of Girls — Adam Driver, Christopher Abbott, Andrew Rannells, and Alex Karpovsky — took photos together. Solange Knowles also attended the event along with HBO stars like Michael K. Williams and Steve Buscemi.

The cast and Lena in particular have been in the press quite a bit lately as they promote the new season of their hit series. Lena recently opened up about her awkward teenage years, saying she didn't have any friends and was a "chubby teenager." Despite her pre-Girls troubles, Lena is enjoying the success of her HBO show, including a nomination at Sunday's Golden Globes — make sure to fill out a Golden Globes ballot for the chance to win $1,500 and an iPad mini!

It may be prime time for celebrity getaways to beachy locales, but the celebration for Derek Blasberg's latest venture (a chic little line of stationery for Opening Ceremony) drew out something of a style crowd here in NYC last night. Blasberg's buddies were in a range of wintry-cool ensembles to show their support — nothing too glam or over the top; just a mix of easy but polished looks from the likes of Rachel Roy, Nicky Hilton, and Hilary Rhoda. Hilary showed off her mile-long stems in a pair of black trousers, which she topped with a tweedy jacket, Nicky gave a staple knit a cool-girl twist, and Leigh Lezark proved just how eye-catching a leopard-print coat really is.
