In case you haven't noticed, the '70s are back with a vengeance. But we're not talking hippie florals and peace signs — this time the look is purely chic. In Vogue Russia's November issue, American beauty Hilary Rhoda exudes that groovy glam vibe with modern effortlessness. Granted, the styling is a bit over-the-top, but take a few lessons from it: denim and camel go exceptionally well, turquoise jewelry is Fab, and there's nothing more luxurious than faux fur. >> Roberto Cavalli reportedly spent about $2 million on his 40th anniversary bash held last night at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris — and that doesn't include the budget allotted to bringing Natalia Vodianova (and perhaps some of the other 1,200 attendees) to the party. As the New York Times's Eric Wilson wrote: "It was one of those fashion parties that felt like another era, when it was possible to enjoy such extravagance without wondering how a designer could possibly be selling enough animal-printed evening gowns and exuberantly distressed denim to afford it all."

Kylie Minogue performed, the walls were lined with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott's images of models in Cavalli, and Heidi Klum introduced the designer as a four-tier, 10-foot birthday cake covered in sparklers was wheeled onto the stage. But even through all that, Cavalli, almost 70, admitted he's not the party animal he used to be: “Don’t say it, don’t say it, please, because the people should still dream with me,” he said. “The young should think that, instead of sparkling water, I drink Krug, or that I still smoke 10 Cuban cigars every day.”

Tonight is Fashion's Night Out, and New York City will be filled with pretty much every big name in fashion and beauty. Among the potentials: Alessandra Ambrosio (who hasn't walked in New York since the Fall 2001 season, but is confirmed to be at the FNO fashion show), Ana Beatriz Barros (who hasn't walked New York since the Fall 2003 season), Jourdan Dunn (who last did New York in the Fall 2009 season, pre-baby), Izabel Goulart (who last walked for Miss Sixty in Spring 2009, and is walking the FNO fashion show), Mariacarla Boscono (who hasn't done New York since Anna Sui's Spring 2005 show), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (who last appeared at Badgley Mischka's Fall 2007 show), Noemie Lenoir (who most recently walked Diane von Furstenberg's Fall 2002 show), and Hilary Rhoda, who most recently walked for Rag & Bone's Fall 2008 show and confirmed over the weekend that she would be walking in the FNO fashion show, adding, "Maybe a few [other] shows too??? Stay tuned...."
