The weather in NYC yesterday was unseasonably warm and quite sunny. Walking down West 19th street in the afternoon wind, I had a sudden and violent urge to don bright colors and a bold pattern or two — at the same time. As the dirty snow piles get smaller and smaller, my visions of cherry blossoms and green leaves become more and more vivid. The punchy stripes at Prada's Spring/Summer 2011 show really revved my sartorial engines, and finding some choice horizontal lines in shades of fuchsia and jade is high on my Spring must list.
