French fashion designer Vanessa Bruno opened up her first US store in West Hollywood, CA — and we got the chance to talk with her at the grand opening party! Sky-high ceilings, white walls, and gorgeous lighting illuminate her effortlessly cool Spring 2011 collection. Channeling the '70s, Vanessa brought the tropics to the city with punchy brights and prints. Watch to find out more! On Allison: Hype
Look of the Day: Summer Blazer
There are warm, cozy Winter blazers, then there are light, airy Summer blazers like the one Fab fan Lynzy is wearing. The floral detail makes it incredibly darling, while her romper adds a dash of military edge. A raspberry colored bag and ankle-strap sandals complete her sweet, down-to-earth look.
Here's what she has on:
Romper: Forever 21
Blazer: Free People
Bag: Hype
Sandals: Nine West
Congrats to Lynzy!
Everyone else, submit your looks, and I might feature you on FabSugar!
Celebrity Style: Kristin Cavallari
Kristin Cavallari keeps a low profile these days, but she did get snapped while arriving at Miami International Airport yesterday. Most people keep their traveling outfits simple, but it's nice to add a dose of fun via a colorful piece, like Kristin did with her magenta silk scarf. It lends just enough color to her tough outfit. I also dig her boots and the way she nonchalantly tucked the front of her tee into her pants. Bienvenido a Miami, Kristin!

Anti-Obama Documentary to Premiere on DNC Eve
Anti-Obama Documentary to Premiere on DNC Eve
Right-wing provocateur and well-known Clinton antagonist David Bossie says he will premiere a documentary critical of presidential candidate Barack Obama in Denver on the Sunday before the Democratic National Convention. The documentary’s trailer appears patched together from footage of Obama’s appearances as well as original interviews with Fox and MSNBC conservative contributors. After the Aug. 24 Denver premiere of the doc, titled HYPE – The Obama Effect, will show in Minneapolis to coincide with the Republican National Convention.
Celebrity Style: Whitney Port
My favorite Hills girl Whitney Port traded her red brocade Nicole Miller dress for something a little more vibrant and trendy while having lunch with a gal pal. We've been seeing florals quite a bit lately, but Whitney shows us the trend has yet to be exhausted. To mellow out the loudness of the dress, she accessorized with a gray scarf and a black satchel. Throw in some metallic flats, a cool pair of rounded shades, and you have one fashionable reality starlet.

Trend Alert: The Bag Bazaar
All this time I've been trying to focus on acquiring classic handbags for my collection. But after visiting the bag bazaar I am drawn to the colors, prints and funkiness of the newest crop of bags. I still think having an everyday Prada or a coveted Chanel is a Fab idea, but so is mixing it up with an interesting tote that causes your pupils to dilate upon first look. With all the fresh options for Spring, get lost at the bag bazaar.
Trend Alert: Hot Weather Halter Dresses
You know when it is just so hot and you don't feel like wearing anything? You'd rather just sit around in your underthings next to the AC (you sexy thang!). But, you can't. You have a party to attend! This is when a hot weather halter dress comes to the rescue. This universally flattering dress shape was invented for fun in the sun with its cinched neckline and flowing silhouette. Show off those shoulders in one of these; skip the necklace, add sex kitten shoes and you're good to go.

Two Lookalike Bags - Kooba and Hype
Lots of celebs, including Vanessa Minillo (is she a celeb?), seem to love this Kooba Bag. It's very cute and not nearly as expensive as some of the other bags that we usually see on the arms of celebs. Thank you to our friends at People for putting together this great collage.
