How often do you completely switch up your hairstyle in the course of a fortnight? Pretty often, if you're Iman. At the BET Honors event less than two weeks ago, Iman walked the red carpet wearing an impressively voluminous, sculpted updo. Next, at an event at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, she opted for a sleek, dark bob with side-swept bangs. Then yesterday, while visiting Martha Stewart Living Radio, Iman lightened up with a long, blond, layered style. I'm totally impressed with her willingness to experiment with different textures, lengths, and colors. What say you?

Iman Cosmetics's New Palette Is Fit For an Icon
Iman is a timeless beauty with her own line of cosmetics specifically for women with darker skin tones. OnSugar blog Blaq Vixen Beauty tells us all about the legendary model's new collection of sultry eye makeup.

I just found out that this new inclusive palette from Iman Cosmetics is hitting stores Jan.15! By the looks of it, the Iman Eye-Con Collection ($35) seems to be a great item for someone who wants to step up their eye makeup game (like me). It has a built-in mirror, four trios of eyeshadow shades (Classic Smoky, Golden Romance, Edgy Emerald, and Cool Violet), brow liner (Blackest Brown Eyebrow Pencil), and a jet black eyeliner (Jet Black Perfect Eye Pencil). Of course, easy-to-follow instructions are included so that you can take your dazzling looks from classic to shimmering, smoldering, or radiant.

The Fashion Show Premieres Tonight — Will You Tune In?
If you've watched Bravo lately, you've most likely seen the overly dramatic commercials for Iman and Isaac Mizrahi's new show, The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection. Actually, this is season two of The Fashion Show with Isaac and singer Kelly Rowland. Remember that one? But there's a brand-new twist this time around: 12 expert designers will be split into two fashion houses, and each house will work together to produce an entire fashion show every week. By that I mean, not only will they be designing the clothes, but also the set, lighting, and music. Harper's Bazaar's Laura Brown will also serve on the panel. Does this new show — debuting tonight at 10 p.m. on Bravo — intrigue you?

Let Iman's Look Be the Inspiration For Your Next Night Out
At an Us Weekly event last night, Iman really took it to another level with this palette of charcoaled purple shadow and bright burgundy lips. It's not only sharp, feminine, and classy, but a bit edgy, too. To create the perfect wine-colored lip for you, try mixing together various shades from her Pucker Up Lip Kit ($20). As for the eyes, use a palette of smoky navy or purples for an intensely sultry finish. You can even get the same effect by layering on a black layer or deep gray shadow over your favorite navy or purple shadow. Check out my widget below for even more inspiration:
Iman Launches Home Fabric Line at NY Fashion Week
Having strutted down the catwalks of every internationally renowned fashion house for 30 years, it would seem that Iman has done it all. But now the graceful beauty brings her style skills to a new facet of design. The iconic model has launched Iman Home, an elegant, exotic fabric collection inspired by global culture, contemporary design, and, no doubt, Iman's Somalian heritage. The textiles are available at Calico Corners online and Calico Home stores across the country and coming soon to the style setter's own website and select retailers. Checking out at $25-$55/yard, the designer fabrics are quite affordable and actually on sale for 15 percent off or more at Calico now through Sept. 25!
To celebrate the launch, this week Iman has teamed up with design consultant Carlos Mota to design the VIP Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge at New York Fashion Week, which features her fabrics as well worldly elements like African stools and photographs by fashion greats Bruce Weber and Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. "Since I stopped modeling, got married, and had a daughter, home has become a passion of mine," she told WWD. "The gods of the interior decoration must have been looking down on me, because all of a sudden, here was this great opportunity to create the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge."
Check out a few of my favorite fabrics below.
This Week's Fab Faves
Let's be real: a style slump occurs every now and again. In the Winter, it's usually January; in the Summer, it's right about now. I think by August people really succumb to the mellow vibe of Summer and let loose — I mean, even posh spectacle Gwyneth Paltrow threw together laid-back khakis and a tank this week. Admittedly, I've been wearing the same few pairs of cropped jeans in rotation (one of them is white though!) and tank tops, blazer, and sandals. But there's always some style to inspire; peruse Iman, Kate Beckinsale, Eva Mendes, and others. The highlight of the week was definitely Leighton Meester's rad cobalt fringed booties.
