We can't think of a better depiction of on-campus style than 1970's Love Story. Our world was forever changed (and infinitely enhanced) after watching Clueless for the first time in 1995. The epic rom-com, in its purest form, is an adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma with a Beverly Hills twist. But for those of you who have watched it as many times as we have, you know that it also happens to be a movie filled with hilariously memorable one-liners, spot-on meta '90s commentary, and really, really fun fashion.

Ringleader Cher Horowitz (played by Alicia Silverstone), along with BFFs Dionne and Tai, gravitated toward a mix of '90s prep-school pieces. It's all about a bolder, sexed-up brand of schoolgirl charm for this crew, from pleated plaid miniskirts, sharp collared blouses, and cropped cardigan sets to knee-high socks and Mary Janes. Lest we forget, Dionne's bright leather skirts, printed bandannas, and Dr. Seuss-worthy vinyl top hats certainly added that extra element of interest. Ahh, Heathers: a sweet coming-of-age story about cliques, cruelty, and really cute clothes. Heathers is one of the most memorable high-school cult films out there — and if you can get past the teenage angst and murder plots, you'll notice that these menacing mean girls have a sick sense of style. Before Regina George, there were The Heathers — Duke, McNamara, and Chandler. They stayed suited up in plaid blazers (complete with shoulder pads, naturally), pleated skirts, colored tights, and sleek loafers. And before she split from the group to exact her revenge, Veronica Sawyer (portrayed by Winona Ryder) mimicked their preppy schoolgirl style, favoring bright blue tights, tiered skirts, and a barrage of brooches on her buttoned-up blouse. We also can't get past Veronica's collection of oversize hats, epic eye rolling, and the monocle she wore when writing in her diary — a sure sign of a stylish psychopath. Rihanna and Brooklyn Decker posed pretty at the London photocall for their new movie Battleship. While it appears that the dresses they picked — Rihanna in Alexander Wang, Brooklyn in Stella McCartney — are vastly different, upon closer inspection, they share one sexy detail. Both frocks have exaggerated halter necklines that show off their beautiful shoulders. Notice how each cut caves into the center of their chests, revealing parts of their decolletage. Reese Witherspoon jetted off to South Korea to promote her latest flick, This Means War. Before you see it, meet the costume designer and see the fabulous wardrobe. For this particular press conference, the actress brightened the room up via a fuchsia and black Michael Kors sheath dress from the designer's Resort 2012 collection. While this dress is not yet available to buy in that color, we can draw inspiration by pairing bright pink with black. The black will tame the pink, while the pink will elevate black to exciting heights.
