And I used to have this following in the community where I grew up, in Brooklyn. And I was this little freak. People used to stop me on the street, the same way they do now - "Oh, I love you, I think it's so funny that you can actually sound exactly like Dionne Warwick." This was before my voice changed, right? And it was always, "Oh, you're fabulous," but then, "Ha-ha, what a freak." That's what it was. And it feels the same now. Whenever anyone on the street says, "Oh, you're so great, I love your work," it always feels like they're with a gang of kids down the block, calling me a freak. It's this weird dynamic that has always existed in my life. So when people say, "Oh, you're this personality," that's what I've always been and always will be.

Bravo's upcoming reality show, The Fashion Show, starring Fern Mallis and Isaac Mizrahi, is poised to debut on May 7th and the contestants are preparing for the publicity. Designer Keith Lissner, who will appear on the show, just launched a bridge line this week called Keith by Keith Lissner. Lissner specializes in Marchesa-quality evening wear but wanted to offer potential customers something a little more accessible to match his television debut. The new range offers 12 fantastic cocktail dresses which are available immediately and retail around $250. Our favorites in the gallery below.

The first thing it did for me was make me want to play around with color in an urgent way. Also, it made me realize the designer has the unique ability to make preppy and prissy look youthful and cool. Spring is a more lively season thanks to Isaac!

The hammer has fallen. The never-ending fight over Project Runway has finally settled in favor of Lifetime. A big loss for Bravo but the network isn't going to cry over spilled milk. Bravo has already announced a new fashion show replacing the former called The Fashion Show.

The reality fashion show rotates around seasoned professionals — compared to Project's newbie designers — and will feature designer Isaac Mizrahi and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland as the hosts, with Fern Mallis as the judge along with other special guests. The twist? Each episode will feature a fashion show criticized not only by Fern and guest judges, but also by live studio audience members — interesting. When Izaac Mizrahi announced he was leaving Target for Liz Claiborne, I wondered what kind of ad campaign he would concoct. Little did I know, he would put himself in the photos! Peep the designer sitting at the right corner in a neon head scarf, staring at model Georgina Stojiljković prancing by. The Spring collection is snappy, crisp, and so are the ads.
