12 Things to Buy With J.Crew's New Supersneaky Promo Code
Lucky magazine is one of our favorite sources for great shopping tips. We're thrilled to share this fabulous story from our friends at Lucky!
J.Crew's having a pretty great sale right now, but it's a bit of a stealthy one — something you might miss if you don't have your reading glasses on. I sort of get why their homepage is a giant tribute to Mother's Day — those responsible girls out there are probably already shopping for the May 10 holiday — but this sale is not only more pressing (it started today and only goes through Sunday, April 28), it's also unusually good.

No men's suits or stuff from other labels, i.e. the Barbour jackets or Cambridge Satchel bags, but everything else in store and online is fair game. All you have to do is type in the promo code, SPRINGBEST, for 25 percent off at checkout. Which really deserves a flashier, grander announcement than the size 8 font that's tucked below the navigation bar, don't you think?

A Sneak Peek at the Lulu Frost For J.Crew Summer '13 Collection
Lulu Frost's sixth collaboration for J.Crew is quickly topping the charts of must-have collaborations to shop this season (and there are a lot to contend with). True to the Lulu Frost label, brilliant pops of color, sharply cut pendants, and intricate details are in ample supply for the Summer '13 collection — the stuff that would not only be a welcome addition to any jewelry box, but the kind that could impact whole wardrobes, too. Neon-tinged statement necklaces could breathe new life into your white tees and tanks; jeweled and tortoiseshell earrings could refresh your cocktail dress lineup; and gold and embellished bracelets would be a welcome bit of arm candy to dress up your work-to-weekend look. Like the collaborations that came before it, this one is stocked with unique, vintage-feeling finds that don't come at the hefty cost of actual vintage baubles. Instead, these retail between $98-$278, and they hit select J.Crew stores and online May 20. Click through for a complete sneak peek — and mark your calendars to shop!

NYFW: Solange Knowles's Yellow Purse Pops Against Her Mixed Prints
It's no secret that we have a major style crush on Solange Knowles, but the trendsetter's latest NYC look has taken our feelings from crush to a full-on love affair. On her way into New York Fashion Week, Solange worked a brown polka-dot tee and blue sequin J.Crew houndstooth pencil skirt with pointed leopard pumps, then upped the wow factor via a bright yellow Dolce & Gabbana tote. From her bold blazers to her eye-catching accessories, Solange is a fashion force to be reckoned with. Take a cue from this style maven by pairing a polka-dot blouse, blue houndstooth skirt, and leopard pumps for your next fashionable lunch date.

Red Dress + Pink Belt: Brooklyn Decker Offers an Easy Styling Tip
Brooklyn Decker continues to show off her amazing style sense while simultaneously promoting her new flick Battleship. At a press conference in South Korea, the actress wore a red Katie Ermilio dress with an asymmetrical hemline, topped by a black Dolce & Gabbana blazer, and finished with red Christian Louboutin cap-toe heels. Zoom in a bit and you'll notice there's more to this look; Brooklyn cinched her waist with a hot pink J.Crew belt. It's a small addition, but one that has major impact. And with the current love affair between red and pink, it's the perfect — and easy — styling tip that can work for you, too. So the next time you reach for a red dress, also grab a bright pink belt for extra impact. Shop our favorite red dresses and pink belts below to get started.

Color Palette: Shades of Style From J.Crew Fall 2012
I'm happy to present a story from one of my favorite sites, Stylelist Home!
Though the big trend of Fall 2012 Fashion Week seems to be models falling, we're talking about all the bright hues spotted on the runway. Exhibit A: J.Crew's presentation, which included this great look that combined colors like hot pink and soft gray. Though there's no argument that colors like hot pink, yellow and orange are lovely, we think their appeal is most apparent when combined with neutrals. The bold hues bring out the warm undertones hidden in a shade like gray, turning what could be severe and sad into something much cozier.

To get the paint swatches for our homes, we used 'Chip It', Sherwin-Williams' new color palette generator tool. From this palette, we went ahead and took a quick look at how these colors can really stand out in a room, from a dining room where pink, red, and white are used as dramatic bursts of color against dark walls to a gray sofa that has pink accent pillows, which are an unexpected but elegant touch in a living room. Another idea we stumbled upon is a bedroom that has painted pink walls and blush bedding . . . for a feminine but surprisingly interesting approach.
