While strolling the streets of NYC with Suri over the weekend, Katie Holmes wore this J. Crew floral button-up blouse ($150) with a pair of wide-leg lightwash Goldsign jeans, creating the perfect '70s-inspired daytime look. She finished her ensemble via oversized square metal sunglasses, off-white shoes, and a tan bag. While we love the way Katie styled her floral blouse — here are similar wide-leg jeans by Marc by Marc Jacobs ($228) to re-create her outfit — it would also look fabulous with a pair of black shorts or a denim skirt. You can also dress it up with leather pants and killer heels for night, or tuck it into a pencil skirt or wide-leg trousers for a more professional feel at work.

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Joseph Altuzarra's collection for J.Crew has been hotly anticipated, partly because it's been kept tightly under wraps. Until now, that is. While no official lookbook has been released, today we spotted the first pieces from the collection on Vogue.com. In a story about affordable French style, Vogue featured several pieces from Altuzarra's forthcoming collection. We've got our eyes on the gingham blouse and striped dress for now, and we will post new pictures as we find them! The collection is due to hit stores April 23, and collections from runners-up Pamela Love (she designed denim!) and Creatures of the Wind will hit J.Crew stores starting next month.
