Perfecting the denim-on-denim trend can be tricky, so FabSugar shows you three effortlessly cool ways to wear this trend! The key to this look is finding denim washes that contrast well. Celeb Style: Rihanna
While some of Rihanna's ensembles are strictly for the stage, this one can be easily re-created with a couple of basics. During her promotional tour, the singer landed in Germany for an autograph signing wearing a simple yet hard-core cutout LBD with a distressed spiked Blessed & Cursed denim jacket. Ferosh footwear continued her cutout theme, while a gold macho watch, studs, and chunky ring furthered her fire. Here's a hint: instead of spending major bucks on a designer jean jacket, go to your local craft store, pick up some spikes and studs, and DIY!

Back to Cool: Saved by the Bell
Hands down, Saved by the Bell was my favorite after-school show. High school couldn't look cooler with Kelly Kapowski, Lisa Turtle, and Jessie Spano. Of course, hotties Zach Morris (remember the huge cellphone he used to carry in his pocket?) and beefcake A.C. Slater provided hunky eye candy. And Screech, who could forget Screech? Loved him. I was only in grade school when this show debuted, so I could only dream of wearing Kelly's crop tops and Lisa's tight denim shorts — Jessie had legs for days in those washed out skinny jeans. The girls also fancied jean jackets, high-waist pants, and floral prints. Sigh, what I would do for a Freaky Friday experience with Kelly Kapowski circa '91 . . .

Fab Finger Discount: Generra Pintucked Swing Jacket
I'm from the school of thought that a gal can never have enough jackets. I have a closet-full and am always looking for more. They're a necessary finishing touch. I mean, would you get a manicure without the top coat? Exactly. If you see eye to eye with me, get this Generra Pintucked Swing Jacket ($89, originally $295), available in extra small through large. It can go over a fun sundress now, then over layers with a cozy scarf later. I'm smitten with the double breast, the subtle crop, but most of all, the price.

Look of the Day: '90s Babe
The wind caught mschaub2's hair at the perfect time. This adds to her cool, '90s babe outfit. There's nothing more iconic of this era than a jean jacket and floral dress — remember Blossom? I also like how she updated her ensemble by donning a pair of Alexander Wang-esque fringe platform sandals. C-ute!
Here's what she has on:
Jacket: Gap
Dress: Unknown
Booties: Forever 21
Congrats to mschaub2!

Trend Alert: Denim Jacket
Trend Alert: Denim Jacket So you've got a good selection of jeans, denim leggings, and a retro shirt, and now here is another denim product to add to the collection: the denim jacket.
Celebrity Style: Diane Kruger
While I love Diane in high-octane fashion shoots, I love her equally on the street. Here she is smiling and running errands dressed down in jeans, boots, and bags. But let's dig deeper. Black and white stripes deliver a yummy nautical flavor, a shrunken light denim jacket feels fully familiar, a touch of icy lavender feminizes, and Balmain's black studded boots still make me swoon. A heather gray headband and A.P.C.'s Beads Bag ($210) are cool, casual touches.

Celebrity Style: Chloe Sevigny
This is why I adore Chloe Sevigny: While everyone else at the grand opening party of Fontainebleau in Miami Beach showed up in fancy frocks, Chloe played by her own rules. She downplayed her olive corset mini dress with a cool cropped denim jacket and set her feet apart with leopard ankle-strap sandals. Finishing touches are a lucite bangle and a Chanel bag. Oh, and I'm loving her burnt orange lips. Chloe's done it again: Easy, breezy, yet dazzling.

Celebrity Style: Mandy Moore
The always-smiling Mandy Moore lit up a recent red carpet not only with her grin but also with her ensemble. On top, she kept things casual in an Alexander Wang tank and a modern denim jacket. On the bottom, she went sexy in Larsen Gray's black band skirt and nude sandals. Most stars stay away from wearing denim on the red carpet, but I'm glad Mandy attempted it . . . and got it right.
