Mixing denim is a dangerous game; you either pull it off or you don't. The key to perfecting this tricky look is thinking outside the box and above all, making sure your denim items contrast one another. Time to kick that old image of a cowboy out of your head!

• Pair ink dark jeans with a light denim jacket, and vice versa.
• Make it look like you mismatched your denim on purpose, like at D&G Spring '08 (pictured).
• Look to trousers, blazers, and sharp cuts that will translate your mixed denim ensemble as modern.

What did camp mean to you? I miss camp. Escaping the Summer lazys (and the 'rents) for color war, talent shows, and three-day boyfriends was the best. I went to two camps; one horseback-riding, more traditional camp and a scuba-diving camp. It was weeks of youthful fun. However, I never made it to camp counselor.

Some gals will never part with their good 'ol faithful jean jackets - myself included. I have a white one and a dark denim one, both by the now-expired Earl Jeans, and though I haven't been wearing them much, I will never rid of them.
