While we all love a good strappy sandal to complement a fabulous dress, sometimes it's good to pick a pared-down shoe to let the dress do all the dazzling. While celebrities haven't ditched their detailed sandals altogether, they are totally feeling the minimalist ankle-strap sandal trend at the moment. Jennifer Connelly wore her black Givenchy sandals in NYC, Rihanna wore a red pair with a white ruffle skirt, and Kim Kardashian chose a black Christian Louboutin pair with her Stella McCartney number. Check out all the celebs who are feeling minimalist sandals, then shop the hot trend for yourself.

Irina, Brooklyn, and Chrissy Head to Vegas For More Sports Illustrated Celebrating
The ladies of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue packed their bags and headed to Las Vegas yesterday, with Brooklyn Decker flying on a special Virgin America flight alongside her fellow model Kate Upton. Brooklyn was off once they touched down in Nevada to join Hilary Rhoda, Anne V, and Jessica Gomes for a special lunch at STK with the restaurant's executive chef Stephen Hopcraft. By the evening, it was time for one more bash to celebrate the new issue after hosting a party in NYC on Wednesday. 2011 cover girl Irina Shayk posed with Damaris Lewis, Elena Baguci, and Cintia Dicker, while Chrissy Teigen posed with Brooklyn and a guy friend before chowing down on potato skins. All the girls featured in this year's issue were able to let their hair down and have some fun before resuming their promotional activities today.

Model of the Week: Jessica Gomes
Bar Refaeli got most of the praise for being the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl, but there were a handful of other women who equally burned up the pages. I got the chance to chat with them all, including Jessica Gomes, a part-Singaporean, part-Portuguese exotic model who was born in Australia. You may recognize the 24-year-old from DKNY, Urban Outfitters, Adidas, and Old Navy ads. She also made appearances on Project Runway and has her own Korean TV show titled My Name Is Jessica Gomes. Here's what she had to say about bikinis, her personal style, and the world of modeling.
What are three words that describe your personal style?
Chic, sexy, and comfortable.
What is your favorite bikini style and how many swimsuits do you own?
I can't count, I have a box-full at home. I love James Bond-inspired swimsuits that are fashionable and give a statement.
Who are your favorite designers?
YSL, Balmain, Goyard, Chanel, Zimmermann, Camilla, Anna & Boy, and Josh Goot from Australia.

Model of the Week: Jessica Gomes
Welcome to BellaSugar's Model of the Week. This week, we are chatting with the beautiful Australian brunette, Jessica Gomes. Jessica was born in Sydney, the baby of a family that includes two older sisters, an older brother, a Portuguese father, and a Chinese mother. Her childhood was simple and rustic, so her interests lay more in reading, art, and sports than in fashion and beauty.
Fearing she wouldn't grow up polished, Jessica's mother sent her to finishing school at the age of 13. It was there that she appeared on the hit TV show "Bush Patrol," which lead to a modeling contest and the start of a successful career.
You might recognize her from her photos in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Glamour, and the Victoria’s Secret catalog. She has appeared in ads for Adidas, Gap, Motorola, and DKNY. She also recently signed with Estee Lauder as the face of Diddy's Unforgivable fragrance.
When she's not walking the catwalks, Jessica enjoys interior design, yoga, dancing, painting, gymnastics, playing tennis, squash, surfing, swimming, and boxing. She currently lives in NYC and gets back to Australia to see her friends as often as possible.
We spoke to Jessica about her beauty secrets, so to read the interview and see a gallery of photos, read more
