Katie Holmes stepped out in a hot black and white tuxedo to premiere The Decision, the short she made for John Frieda, in NYC last night. The piece is about a woman who "cheats" on her hair colorist, and Katie's own locks looked fantastic as she took the red carpet with the support of fellow stars including Allison Brie and Julie Benz. Bella has Katie's whole tongue-in-cheek film, which also heavily features the actress's favorite accessory, her Valextra. Katie is frequently seen toting the luxury line and her Holmes & Yang just made its first foray into bags by teaming up with Valextra. Katie arrived back on the East Coast in time to spend the day with a friend in the city and of course, she was sporting a big smile and one of her own creations.
Alexander McQueen's White Fall 2011 Finale Gowns — A Preview of Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress?
>> Sarah Burton's Fall 2011 Alexander McQueen collection was inspired by "The Ice Queen and her court," a theme that easily feeds into all the rumors that soon-to-be Princess Kate Middleton has chosen Burton to do her wedding dress. Particularly when the collection includes a small selection of decadent white gowns — which by the finale, had the fashion flock convinced that British designer Burton should be doing Middleton's gown (if she's not already). A selection of their post-show tweets:
- Telegraph UK's Hilary Alexander: "Alexander McQueen.. Fit for.a Queen!"
- Fashion Television's Jeanne Beker: "Seems that everyone here is convinced Kate Middleton's choice SHOULD be McQueen!!"
- Elle's Joe Zee: "Kate Middleton, I love you but if you don't have Sarah Burton design your wedding dress, you're making a big mistake. HUGE."
- Style.com's Meenal Mistry: "Honestly, I don't really understand why Sarah Burton at McQueen making Kate Middleton's dress isn't a foregone conclusion."
- Elle UK: "Phenomenal McQueen show! Those final looks will do nothing to dispel the Kate bridal rumours..."
- InStyle's Ariel Foxman: "Stunning at McQueen. Preview of Kate's big day dress?"
- Elle's Anne Slowey: "LIFT OFF AT McQUEEN!!!! Kate Middleton: HELLOOOOO!!!!"
- Observer UK's Helen Seamons: "McQueen - Just incredible. If Kate Middleton is wearing them she is a very lucky girl &if she isn't she should be"

Rachel Zoe Reveals Her Pregnancy Cravings at a Fashionable Bash With New Designer Sofia Vergara
Rachel Zoe threw on a Ports 1961 dress last night to attend Elle's Women in TV dinner at LA's Soho House, hosted by Joe Zee, with her adorable husband Rodger Berman. The super stylist was joined on the red carpet by How I Met Your Mother's Cobie Smulders, and a curve-showing Sofia Vergara, who just revealed that she's designing a line for K-Mart. True Blood's Sam Trammell balanced out the ladies, as did Sofia's Modern Family costar Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The celebs all mingled inside, and Sofia snapped a photo of her good times with Sam and Jesse. Rachel, meanwhile, dished about the foods she's loving while pregnant. She said, "I really enjoy things that are tart, like strawberries and grapefruit. . . Sour things like that, but nothing really weird."

See a Video Preview of Joe Zee's Upcoming Show, All on the Line

>> Elle creative director Joe Zee has a new show coming to the Sundance Channel in the Spring, and the first video teaser has been posted — watch it here. In each episode of All on the Line, Zee meets with a struggling designer and helps them "take it to the next level." To the designer shown in this first preview, for instance, Zee warns against the use of "slutty fabric." And in response to the inevitable Project Runway show comparisons, Zee says: "This show is no-nonsense, it's not a game. It isn't about elimination of contestants, and you get to see an insider's view of how the design process works, and how concept goes to reality." [@mrjoezee]

Jil Sander: The Collection of Spring 2011, Thus Far
>> Raf Simons seems to hold the honor of electrifying the fashion audience the most thus far this Spring 2011 season. Suzy Menkes wrote of his Jil Sander collection: "This was a show that projected fashion into this new decade." Vogue UK lauded: "And in the space of 15 minutes, Raf Simons stole the show. The Jil Sander collection this afternoon did just what he does so well: make everybody forget everything they’ve seen before by giving them brilliantly conceived, complete distraction."

Joe Zee Tweeted: "I think Raf Simons has officially made me a color convert with his Jil Sander collection. So incredibly major! With a capital M," later replying "COSIGN" to Kelly Cutrone's Tweet: "Fashion Prediction: Raf for Jill Sander - show stopper - Takes the season." The Los Angeles Times's Booth Moore agreed: "At Jil Sander, designer Raf Simons' extreme color story packed more of a punch than almost anything else we'd seen so far this season."
WWD called the collection "extraordinary" and "fantastic," and Cathy Horyn wrote: "Mr. Simons has shown some exceptional collections at Jil in the past five years, but in this one he dealt more assuredly with the fundamentals of fashion — shape, volume, proportion, new materials — and pushed past the old frontiers to create a new example of minimalist dressing . . . Reaction to the show seemed very enthusiastic, with an immediate burst of applause at the end."
