Even though Taylor Momsen brags about, like, totally not doing her hair, the Gossip Girl star is snapping up advertising contracts left and right. After being named the face of Madonna's new clothing line, she's now set to star in the campaign for John Galliano's new women's scent.

WWD reports that Taylor, who turns 17 on Monday, will appear in ads for the forthcoming (and as yet unnamed) fragrance. Aesthetically, it's not a bad fit; both the actress and Galliano share a love of outré style. But will adult women be enticed to try the scent by someone so young? We'll see this Autumn, when the first ads are released.

When John Galliano dreams in flowers it's a waxing wonderland of prickly tulips, dripping irises, and pompous poppies. It's over the top, it's in your face — it's incredible. And when Galliano takes a theme, he takes it to the extreme. Kicking off Paris Couture week, the Dior show paraded voluminous shapes sprouting vivid hues, set against a giant fiberglass arrangement.It all began with an Irving Penn Irving photograph of a parrot tulip and spun into a flower-powered collection replete with cellophane headpieces, rustic belts, and rubber gardening gloves. Dior's ladylike silhouettes perfectly cater to the bloom theme, where colors are mixed and textures are melded. Feathers, tulle, and mohair form flowerly shapes, while marigold yellow, blush pink, and acid green push the color boundaries. Bold, botanical gowns sum up the crafty collection.

He touched on his methods — before photographing a famous subject, he researches portraits they've done in the past to see “what they can give me that they haven’t given anyone else” — as well as his detractors: “I’ve been criticized for pretty, smiley photographs, but at least someone is happy. In my mind, I am always giving the image to the sitter.”

He talked about meeting Gisele Bundchen and trying to get editors to use her at the end of the grunge-waif era: “It was, ‘Uh, no, the nose, the waist, the breasts.’ They saw problems everywhere. A year later, everyone wanted her.” He also recalled his first meeting with frequent collaborator Kate Moss, who was 14 at the time and crying backstage over getting only one runway look in a John Galliano show.
