>> Karen Elson and Jack White are making sure their marriage — just over six years' worth — goes out with a bang, by holding a divorce party in Nashville this evening. The couple wasn't often captured together — it wasn't until last year that White finally agreed to be photographed with Elson for the first time, for Vogue's June 2010 issue. “When this [opportunity at Vogue] came about,” Elson said at the time, “for whatever reason, he was sort of like, You know, this is going to be the only time we are ever, ever, ever going to do this, so it might as well be with the best people on the planet, it might as well be with Annie [Leibovitz] and Grace [Coddington], to get that one great image of the pair of us.” Those images, plus the rare few others of the couple together, in the slideshow; plus, The White Stripes' video for "Blue Orchid," on the set of which Elson and White met in 2005. It premiered just days before they were married.

Karen Elson, supermodel, singer, songwriter, wife to White Stripes singer Jack White, and mother of two, can now add designer to her impressive resume. She is collaborating with Nine West on a Fall 2011 collection of accessories for its Vintage America line, according to WWD. While we've only seen sketches of her designs, it's said to be based on her vintage-inspired style, and we immediately thought of two editorials where Elson's style was most prominent: a Nylon shoot last June that was shot by her twin sister Kate and a Vogue shoot, shot by Annie Leibowitz, featuring her and Jack White together. Both show her love of vintage femininity and, while the model is British not American, we can see the connection to vintage Americana. Tonight's Met Gala theme was Savage Beauty, honoring the late Alexander McQueen, so it was fitting that some of McQueen's closest friends and fans donned his designs on the red carpet. Models and celebrities, like Gisele Bundchen, Daphne Guinness, and Naomi Campbell all showed off different looks from McQueen's past collections. Each and every look took us back to McQueen and all of the greatness he created during his lifetime — check out the slideshow to see who wore what and why we loved it.

Raquel Zimmermann recently confirmed: "I'll be in the Lanvin campaign which was shot by photographer Steven Meisel, but I can not describe how it was, total secrecy until the campaign out!" And Roberto Cavalli is reportedly employing Natasha Poly, Mariacarla Boscono, and Karen Elson to be shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Panos Yiapanis.

After Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted leaving Coach headquarters recently with Reed Krakoff, meanwhile, rumors have been fanned that the actress might be a new face for either Coach or Krakoff's Coach-funded eponymous label.
