Kate Middleton is testing out Fall's must-have color trend: burgundy! The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out alongside Prince William at the Middle Temple Treasury, where they launched a program for law students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and Kate styled up a gorgeous bordeaux skirt suit for the occasion. She made this jacket and skirt number by Paule Ka even more Fall-appropriate by styling it with black tights and suede heels. Watch today's Fab Flash for all the details. Kate Middleton's apparent modesty — she shops at stores like Banana Republic, she does her own grocery shopping, she doesn't have ladies in waiting — is what makes her so widely appealing. That modesty stretches to her wardrobe. As Duchess of Cambridge and wife to Prince William, Kate has increased her time in the public eye, and her polished, classic style is also in the spotlight. She could choose to be a clotheshorse and sport different outfits every outing, but we're seeing a refreshing sense of loyalty to things she loves. Case in point: this purple jacquard coat made an appearance in 2009 for a friend's wedding, she wore it again this weekend to celebrate Prince Phillip's 90th birthday. To boot, she paired it with the blue Zara dress she wore the day after her royal wedding! For a friend's wedding over the weekend, Kate chose a black fascinator to go with her black and white printed dress; it's the same fascinator she wore to the Trooping the Colour ceremony, marking Queen Elizabeth's birthday earlier in the day.

On the eve of the biggest wedding of the year, and possibly the decade, we have to admit no woman has been the subject of style talk more than Catherine Middleton. The soon-to-be-princess, casually known as Kate, has shown a love for skirt suits, hats, and High Street shops. She's won us over with her "just-like-us" shopping habits, but considering the icon status of other royals like Grace Kelly and Princess Diana, where will Kate fit in? Check out our slideshow of key Middleton looks, and tell us your thoughts: how would you define Catherine's style? Let us know in the comments.
