Joining the flotilla of celebrity fragrances on the market, today both Kimora Lee Simmons and Celine Dion premiered ads for new scents, respectively called Dare Me ($17) and Pure Brilliance ($16). This isn't the first rodeo for either lady — Kimora's now on her fifth perfume, and Celine's launched a whopping eight scents — but they both promise their new entries won't disappoint.
Both fragrances are, as might be expected, fruity florals. Dare Me is a tropical scent with coconut and magnolia notes, while Pure Brilliance has pear, apple, and "green leaves." Both fragrances have honeysuckle floral hearts and woody drydowns. It's interesting to see honeysuckle popping up in drugstore perfume this season, but clearly flowers, warm woods, and fruit are a popular scent combination.
