Celeb Style: Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel always manages to look gorgeous without trying too hard.

Jessica Biel always manages to look gorgeous without trying too hard. So when her chic crop jacket and trousers caught my eye, I knew that it couldn't be too hard to re-create. All you need is a pair of easy trouser jeans ($178), a sweet, peachy-cream top, and a plaid wool or tweed crop coat ($65, originally $90) to top it off. Finish with a pair of patent pumps, like Jessica's Chanels, and a classic handbag, just like Louis Vuitton. Click the items above to shop a similar style.

Louis Vuitton Brings Back the Polish with Pre-Fall 2011

>> Pre-Fall is the collection that Marc Jacobs steps back from and lets Louis Vuitton design director Julie de Libran drive, so what did she turn out?

>> Pre-Fall is the collection that Marc Jacobs steps back from and lets Louis Vuitton design director Julie de Libran drive, so what did she turn out? A polished Pre-Fall 2011 collection, originating with her recent trip to Venice to view the “Louise Bourgeois: The Fabric Works” exhibition, and resulting in what de Libran called a "liberated wardrobe for a woman who goes out to conquer the world." It's far from the campy Spring 2011 collection Jacobs turned out for Vuitton, but since when does Vuitton strike a note for more than one season, anyway?

>> Two colorful campaigns for two colorful collections — but the approach for each is markedly different. The full Spring 2011 ad sets are out for both Jil Sander and Louis Vuitton; while Willy Vanderperre shot a pink-haired Daria Strokous against a washed-out white background, part of her face obscured in many of the images while the clothes take on a watercolored feel, Steven Meisel captured Kristen McMenamy, Raquel Zimmermann, and Freja Beha Erichsen in an environment of opulent excess.

Marc Jacobs Is In Contract Renegotiations with Louis Vuitton; Bernard Arnault Has Veto Power on John Galliano's Dior Designs

>> Robert Duffy and Marc Jacobs are in the midst of negotiating the renewal of their respective contracts at Louis Vuitton, Duffy confirms.

>> Robert Duffy and Marc Jacobs are in the midst of negotiating the renewal of their respective contracts at Louis Vuitton, Duffy confirms. But he doesn't expect there to be any problems: “It’s just starting but, I mean, we both want to stay. I don’t think that’s any secret. When two people want to renew their vows, they do it usually.”

It sounds like the feeling is mutual from Louis Vuitton head Bernard Arnault. "I could have asked many other talented designers to do Dior, but it would not have been the same," Arnault told Tatler Asia. "Take Marc Jacobs, he has been a fantastic success at Vuitton, and he has a proximity to the Vuitton spirit, but I don't think it would have been a success with Jacobs at Dior and the other way around, if I had asked John [Galliano] to do Vuitton, it would not have worked. An essential ingredient in the success of the brand today is the real proximity of Galliano to the talent of Christian Dior." Arnault and Galliano meet at the LVMH offices in Paris to discuss each of Galliano's Dior collections before it is shown. "We meet in this room," explains Arnault. "I say, 'John, I think we should do something else. What you have done is too extravagant.' For Dior it's all about the details and John listens."

There were many trends this year that helped define our wardrobes: military, camel, leopard, leather, and ladylike were the big ones. But from those, we were all gravitating toward ladylike and military. But the former stood out as the trend with the hugest impact. It all started with Louis Vuitton's Fall collection and continued as a domino effect with celebs embracing the longer hemlines, then the reemergence of the kitten heel and structured satchels. Whether you jumped on the look or not, you can't deny its far-reaching power in 2010! Check out some fun ladylike posts we covered throughout the year:
