Michelle Williams Gets an Early Honor in the Company of Her Girlfriends

Michelle Williams was the belle of a private ball last night at LA's Chateau Marmont.

Michelle Williams was the belle of a private ball last night at LA's Chateau Marmont. The company Forevermark threw her the bash in honor of her Oscar nomination in the category of best actress, and her closest friend Busy Philipps was on hand for the occasion. It was the latest evening out on the town for Busy, who spent Wednesday at a Dior dinner with Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, and more. Michelle was decked out in a short purple dress for the party, though we're most excited to see what she wears on Sunday after her 2006 Vera Wang pick ranked among the most iconic Academy Award gowns. Other stars like Bryce Dallas Howard, John Stamos, and Gina Gershon turned out to toast Michelle, who's sure to be a hot commodity at pre-Oscars events in the run-up to the big show.

We'll be LIVE from the red carpet on Sunday, so watch here on PopSugar and follow us on Twitter for breaking news and photos, and don't forget we're also giving away a Samsung TV, so be sure to fill out BuzzSugar's ballot for your chance to win!
