Missoni x Converse: Introducing the Archive Project

By now Converse and Missoni are old partners, with five zig-zag printed sneaker collaborations tucked underneath their low-top laces and knit string bikini ties. And yet there's something entirely novel about the brands' sixth effort, which goes on sale later this week.

Instead of featuring new fabrics, the Converse sneakers in the Archive Project highlight discontinued prints from Missoni's past collections. Not only do they have throwback appeal, the sneakers also have limited edition cachet — really, truly — with only one pair sold per size (5 through 12) in each of the twenty styles.

Mary Katrantzou Teams With Current/Elliott on Printed Denim

Last Sunday, Mary Katrantzou showed one of our favorite London Fashion Week Spring 2013 collections thus far. The print maestro is one of our favorite UK design talents, but her bold wares don't come cheap. Most are priced in the four-figure range.

Imagine our excitement, then, when Style.com announced the designer's new collab with denim label Current/Elliott, purveyor of the best boyfriend jeans and cool cutoffs on the market. With this collaboration, Katrantzou joins fellow Brit Christopher Kane and New York's Peter Som, who both work with denim labels (J. Brand and Earnest Sewn, respectively).

Fall Fashion Tips From Michael Kors

Michael Kors's daily uniform makes him a bit of an authority on Autumn dressing.

In dark-colored turtlenecks, tweed pants and blazers, the man suits up for Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte season even when it's mid-July. And while his labels (Michael Kors, Michael Michael Kors, KORS) teem with year-round classic pieces, they each slant fall-wards thanks to a preference for knitwear and leather and palettes heavy on cream and camel. (If, say, Erdem is the emblem of spring—florals everywhere!—surely Michael Kors is the bastion of Autumn).

For that reason—and because he's a really good designer—we asked Kors to share a few tips to help us get dressed this fall. Full of swagger that'll shake up your standard fall wardrobe, Kors' recommendations channel Angelina boarding an international flight. Whether Tomb Raider-y trousers, oversize sweaters or menswear-style watches, we're totally on board with his picks—especially when worn in the jet-set, glamorous ways that Kors suggests.

Elevate Your Basic Jackets
When it comes to staples, Michael says, "if it's totally, totally familiar it's a big bore." So instead of plain navy or black, he suggests buying an embellished or mixed-media blazer like this one. It has all the versatility of the classics—but none of the blandness.

Nicole Richie's Impulse Line Was Inspired By All Kinds of Music

Nicole Richie's adoptive father, Lionel Richie, and husband, Joel Madden, are both singers, so it's unsurprising that her designs are heavily influenced by music. And not just from songs of the '60s and '70s, two eras frequently referenced in her personal style.

"I do have a wide range of tastes in music," she says in the video below. "And I do think that probably effect the way I design as well. I like to have a little mixture of everything in my designs."

This sensibility is very apparent in the star's upcoming Macy's Impulse collection, which incorporates everything from fur trims to bright patterns. Watch the following footage for a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the range before it hits stores Sept. 12.

Fans of Dannijo's über-statement jewels and those who wear Matt Bernson's rugged, relaxed shoes might have pretty different styles. But they'll both love the brand's footwear collaboration. Set to debut on Sept. 2, the partnership combines the best of both label's aesthetics.

"DJ X MB styles will attract a customer beyond our everyday market," the Tribeca-based shoe designer said of his team-up with sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder. "They are bold and have a glamorous fashion feel that differs from my usual subdued tones that appeal to our 'downtown meets the beach' girl. But my customers will also love them and it will definitely capture a consumer we have never gone after before."

VPL Teams Up With Anthropologie

Lucky magazine is one of our favorite sources for great shopping tips. We're thrilled to share this fabulous story from our friends at Lucky!

For its past Made in Kind designer collaborations, Anthropologie worked with the likes of Karen Walker, Tracy Reese and Organic's John Patrick. Now, just in time for the Olympics, the famously offbeat-cute brand has teamed up with VPL's Victoria Bartlett.

The designer, who's loved for her sporty, exposed-elastic bralettes, briefs and camisoles, whipped up a few all-new prints for her new Anthro capsule—among them a sweet pink floral and arty green splatter—that are a bit softer than those you might see in her primary collection. The final product, dubbed UV_UnderVisibles, is exactly what its name would suggest: underwear so pretty, it'd be a shame to keep it completely hidden. And since nothing in the line's over $128, you can mix and match these athletic lingerie separates to your heart's content. We know exactly what we'll be wearing while watching Gabby Douglas and Jordyn Wieber take to the uneven bars.

Stella McCartney Debuts Affordable Lingerie

In addition to Stella McCartney's high-end line of lacy lingerie, the brand is rolling out a selection of lower priced—and more practical—underpinnings this August. Called "Stella," the super comfortable range is meant for everyday use and, according to The Telegraph, simulates a "nearly nude wearing experience."

The British label's new line might be less fancy than its current intimate options, but it includes pieces you'll want to live in. Everything is unbelievably soft and offered in a variety of fabrics (smooth, mesh and lace) and colors (black, nude, python print and blue). Bras—which are priced between $62-$70—come in five shapes: molded underwire, balconnet, plunge, strapless and supernatural. Each one has cups made with 8mm of foam, which is a shocking 25 percent lighter than the 12mm industry standard. The tops can be purchased with various matching underwear, priced from $30 to $35. Of course, you're not required to match. They would also look really cute with the designer's signature "7 day knicker" sets—which you can buy here, while you wait for the collection to drop.

I fell in love with reading long before fashion, so I'm all about combining the two. Now that celebrity devotees of designer Olympia Le-Tan's hollowed-out hardcovers (including Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman) have made book-inspired bags cool, there are plenty of options for stylish bibliophiles.
