Marc by Marc Jacobs's vision of a woman: vintage glamour. The bright prints of the Fall 2013 collection could have come straight from 1975, but the hair and makeup were inspired by different eras - creating a mash-up of decades. Guido Palau for Redken was inspired by the '40s, creating a texturized, pin-curled look for giant, glamorous locks (hello, Cara Delevingne; can we buy you a drink?), and several models wore colorful nets on the hairstyle to add an extra retro touch. As it turns out, for the makeup, Dick Page for Shiseido didn't have a decade in mind when mapping out the face. He did, however, bring focus to the lips by applying a bright red with a brush, and accentuated the eyes by lining with a shadow on the outer third.

Big hair, big prints, and big '70s style were the name of the game at the Marc by Marc Jacobs show Monday night. In a packed-to-the-rafters room at Lincoln Center - where Jacobs was showing for the first time ever, thanks to a recent scheduling switcheroo - Cara Delevingne, Lindsey Wixson, and their band of wild-maned cohorts marched to the thumping beat of Tame Impala's "Elephant." It was a high-energy, leg-tapping scene, one that was made all the more fun thanks to the vivid Brady Bunch prints and gleaming gem-tone silks that the designer sent down his runway. Slim-cut crew-neck t-shirt blouses paired with wide-legged cropped pants or high-waisted secretary skirts gave a laid-back working-girl vibe, while oversize A-line midi-coats layered cheekily over supershiny minidresses lent a Taxi Driver-era Jodie Foster feel.

Marc Jacobs Reschedules Both Fashion Week Shows

Apparently even big designers have trouble getting their stuff through customs. Thanks to delivery delays, Marc Jacobs has had to reschedule its show from Monday, Feb. 11 to Thursday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. "We're missing bags, shoes, and two fabrics," brand President Robert Duffy told WWD.

And it's not just the mainline show that's been affected; the Marc by Marc Jacobs showtime has been changed as well. That show will now take place at the Lincoln Center tents on Monday at 8 p.m. - the Collection's original spot on the schedule - because the set for the Marc Jacobs show is already being built at the Lexington Armory.

"Marc and I are extremely sorry for this inconvenience. We just want to have the best show possible and show all the product that our design team has been working on so hard for the last six months. We completely understand if people have to get on a plane to go to London," Duffy explained. "We're not expecting people to change those plans or other plans just for us. We are live-streaming the show. Still, we recognize the significant inconvenience and are very sorry about the situation."

Later the brand tweeted, "Sorry everyone, we just want to make it right," before tweeting a formal apology note.
