Watch the Marni For H&M Video Directed by Sofia Coppola — Plus, Behind the Scenes

>> Sofia Coppola's highly anticipated Marni for H&M video has finally arrived.

>> Sofia Coppola's highly anticipated Marni for H&M video has finally arrived. Starring Imogen Poots and set to Bryan Ferry's "Avalon," the film is filled with exactly the kinds of dreamy shots and lingering stares one would expect. "I wanted to do something artful that would represent Marni," Coppola explains. And so, Poots and a host of well-dressed friends drive through the palm-tree-filled countryside, lounge in the sun, and just generally enjoy the sweet life in Marrakesh. Watch the full version of the video here, then see below for a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot.

Here's a First Look at the Marni For H&M Ad Campaign

>> Is Imogen Poots the face of Marni For H&M?

>> Is Imogen Poots the face of Marni For H&M? This ad — which recently surfaced on The Fashion Spot — features what appears to be the British actress lounging in a leopard print-filled room, wearing a super-shiny paisley ensemble. A QR code in the bottom left corner directs viewers to the campaign video, which — as WWD confirmed last month — was shot by Sofia Coppola. While it is yet to be confirmed that the star of Coppola's video is the star of this ad campaign, we do know one thing: Coppola filmed the video last October in Marrakesh — and judging by the Moroccan-style tile work in the background of this image, it looks like this photo may have been shot there as well.

The H&M For Marni collection hits stores March 8.

Preview the Upcoming Marni and H&M Collaboration

Marni for H&M

>> H&M already has its next designer collaboration lined up: Marni. The collection, which encompasses womenswear, menswear, jewelry, shoes, bags, and scarves, hits 260 H&M stores worldwide and online on March 8, 2012.

Look forward to tribal prints mixed with colorful Bauhaus graphics: "I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints," explains Consuelo Castiglioni. "As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements."

According to the collection's press release: "For women, the colors are vivid and the prints are bold, be they African inspired or simpler color blocks. The silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knit, and fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. For men, the colors and fabrics are softened for a relaxed take on menswear staples that is truly Marni. The use of print is subtle, often as a lining or as a contrast detail for shirts, the silhouette a modern and relaxed take on masculine classics."

Pin-Up Girls and Pasta — Backstage at Dolce & Gabbana, Marni, Missoni, and Ferragamo

Spring 2012 Milan Fashion Week

>> Yesterday's heavy-hitting show schedule made for a full day of fun backstage at Milan Fashion Week. Not only was there plenty of pin-up girl posturing at Dolce & Gabbana — in bejeweled maillots, no less — but also lots of madcap twirling in tomato-printed skirts and aubergine-patterned dresses. At Ferragamo, models pranced in flowing gowns fit for a night in the tropics; at Missoni, oversized fans provided the perfect coy accessory. But the most delicious thing spotted backstage? Earrings made from pasta at Dolce & Gabbana. Get a peek at all this and more, here in the slideshow.

Marni: Spring 2012

Consuelo Castiglioni emphasized Marni's eclectic approach to femininity for Spring 2012, with a collection that was filled with architectural, modern takes on ladylike shapes, presented in the bold color and print Marni is known for. Demure shift dresses, knee-length skirts and crewneck sweaters, and sharp jackets were finished in crochet raffia embroidery, intarsia prints, sequins and crystals. Prints ranged from graphic — Bauhaus and circle motifs — to naturalistic, like soft summer florals. It was a light-hearted, slighly retro approach to Spring that will keep Marni fans satiated.

  • Trends: textures, raffia, mixed prints, ladylike.
  • Colors: aqua, pink, yellow, white, brown, rust.
  • Key Look: a yellow floral applique number with a structured silhouette, a white crochet look that had cool Summer nights written all over it.
  • Accessories: ankle strap pumps with gilded python heels, woven bags with windowpane patters and beads; big plastic pendant earrings.
  • Who Would Wear It: The fearless fashion girl — Margherita Missoni, Giovanna Battaglia, and we think Emma Stone would look great in these looks.
