Matthew Williamson Designs a Glam Disco Palette For Benefit Cosmetics

British designer Matthew Williamson is bringing his eye for color and bohemian prints to a Benefit Cosmetics makeup palette. "My inspiration for the palette is nostalgic to the late '70s and early '80s, glamorous cocktail parties, and hedonistic discos," Williamson said. The Rich Is Back! Makeup Kit ($34, available Summer 2013) is wrapped in gorgeous, colorful, and energetic prints, and it opens up to a bronzed eye palette with a shock of turquoise, glossy red lip color, blush, and lash-plumping mascara. The Moment We've Been Waiting For: Matthew Williamson Launches Leather Handbags

Entering a new product category can be a big task for any designer, but Matthew Williamson let his customers guide the design of the leather handbags he's introducing for Fall 2013.

"Listening to my clients, I know how busy they are and how much goes on day-to-day - so it was really a reaction to this,"
Williamson told Vogue UK. "I wanted to design a collection which would appeal to their lifestyle."

That collection includes five styles - two roomy totes, a drawstring bucket bag, a small crossbody bag on a chain, and a pentagon-shaped carryall - suited to do just that. The bags, which will retail from £395 to £1,300 (about $596 to $1,963 at current exchange), fuse textured grain leather and calfskin with the jacquards Williamson uses in his clothing collection.

They're set to debut in September at Williamson's store in London and at select retailers around the world. But that doesn't mean you can't ogle them here in the gallery.

Michelle Dockery, Nina Dobrev, and Ashley Madekwe were joined by other small-screen award-season fixtures like Naya Rivera and Jordana Brewster for the evening's festivities. The ladies turned out a fun mix of colorfully printed dresses and one sleeker formfitting number. Nina channeled a breezy Summer vibe in her watercolor-printed Matthew Williamson strapless maxi dress, only to finish off the look with an equally easygoing hairdo and Elie Saab clutch. Meanwhile, the prints kept going by way of Michelle's halter-style, fishtail-hemmed Peter Pilotto cocktail dress, Ashley's cap-sleeved Monique Lhuillier number, and Jordana's black-and-white floor-length gown. And just when you think you're noticing a patterned trend (and you'd be spot on), Naya showed off her enviable figure in an strapless, ink-hued leather Monique Lhuillier dress and nude pumps.
