Jason Wu Goes Plastic With Melissa Shoes

Jason Wu is making his mark as the first American to collaborate with Melissa, the famous plastic footwear brand based in Brazil. “It was really interesting for me to explore design possibilities with plastic,” said Wu. “I wanted to take advantage of the materials I was given, make it all completely functional and waterproof and yet still remain extremely sophisticated.” Melissa, who touts past collabs with Gareth Pugh, Vivienne Westwood, and Jean Paul Gaultier, teamed up with Wu to create two styles, seen above, using its signature silhouettes: the Ultragirl ballet flat highlighting the Miss Wu owl, and the Lady Dragon pump, featuring a gold sunburst accent culled from his Fall collection. The collection launches in Spring and will be available in three colorways, black, burgundy, nude, and transparent gray.

Celeb Style: Elle Macpherson

When the temperature drops, it's tempting to throw on a pair of sweats and call it a day, but Elle Macpherson proves that warmth and style can go hand in hand.

When the temperature drops, it's tempting to throw on a pair of sweats and call it a day, but Elle Macpherson proves that warmth and style can go hand in hand. She looked chic and snug in a cozy cashmere turtleneck ($68), jean leggings, and cute leopard ballet flats ($66). But the pièce de résistance is definitely her long, fur-trimmed puffer coat ($120, originally $265). Click the items above to shop a similar style.
