Michelle Obama has long been lauded for her exceptional style, but the ensemble she wore to her appearance on Jay Leno in LA might be my favorite yet. It's ladylike, in true first lady form, but the colors show that she knows how to have fun with fashion. In particular, her pencil skirt is right in line with the latest seafoam obsession, and her gold metallic Michael Kors sweater adds dazzle without overshadowing. For a more downtown feel to this look, swap the pointy pumps for a pair of lace-up booties, ditch the jeweled belt for a tan skinny one, and finish with a fabulous fur collar. Or, wear a pair of seafoam pants with a gold tank or sweater for an even more casual vibe.
