Jennifer Hudson joined Project Runway host Heidi Klum and judge Nina Garcia at today's season finale presentation in NYC. Jennifer is the latest star to make a cameo following in the footsteps of last year's guest host, Jessica Simpson. It's been a busy kickoff to Fashion Week for Heidi, Nina, Jennifer, and fellow judge Michael Kors. Last night, Michael hosted celebrities like Nikki Reed, Kate Upton, and Debra Messing at his Manhattan boutique as part of Fashion's Night Out festivities. Jennifer partied with Nicole Richie at a QVC bash. Heidi, meanwhile, stopped by former Project Runway winner Christian Siriano's new boutique to do some shopping and wish him well.
Fall Fashion Tips From Michael Kors
Lucky magazine is one of our favorite sources for great shopping tips. We're thrilled to share this fabulous story from our friends at Lucky!
Michael Kors's daily uniform makes him a bit of an authority on Autumn dressing.
In dark-colored turtlenecks, tweed pants and blazers, the man suits up for Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte season even when it's mid-July. And while his labels (Michael Kors, Michael Michael Kors, KORS) teem with year-round classic pieces, they each slant fall-wards thanks to a preference for knitwear and leather and palettes heavy on cream and camel. (If, say, Erdem is the emblem of spring—florals everywhere!—surely Michael Kors is the bastion of Autumn).
For that reason—and because he's a really good designer—we asked Kors to share a few tips to help us get dressed this fall. Full of swagger that'll shake up your standard fall wardrobe, Kors' recommendations channel Angelina boarding an international flight. Whether Tomb Raider-y trousers, oversize sweaters or menswear-style watches, we're totally on board with his picks—especially when worn in the jet-set, glamorous ways that Kors suggests.
Elevate Your Basic Jackets
When it comes to staples, Michael says, "if it's totally, totally familiar it's a big bore." So instead of plain navy or black, he suggests buying an embellished or mixed-media blazer like this one. It has all the versatility of the classics—but none of the blandness.

Watch: Stars Align For the New Fashion's Night Out Commercial
Karlie Kloss, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and a host of stylish celebrities stepped in front of the camera to create the PSA for Fashion's Night Out 2012. The black and white ad also features Solange Knowles, Arizona Muse, Carolina Herrera, Peter Dundas, Jessica Paré, Francisco Costa, and Justin Bieber, among others, all of whom promise the event will be "bigger, crazier, and sexier than ever." The camera jump-cuts from one famous face to the next, and in the background Darren Criss is heard delivering a cover of Madonna's "Dress You Up."
Fashion's Night Out 2012 will take place on Sept. 6 ("Not the 5th," as Pamela Love notes in the commercial) in cities all over the world. A look at what else the evening has in store in the video below.
Runway Retrospective: Michael Kors
With Fashion Week kicking off in New York in only a few short weeks, we're prepping for the newest Fall '13 collections with a look back at the biggest designers and their most memorable collections. Up first, iconic contemporary American designer (and Project Runway host, well, judge with the most), Michael Kors.
Before we fell in love with him (again) for his honest critiques on Project Runway, we already knew Michael Kors as the quintessential all-American designer, with an affinity for the classics and collections inspired by his travels. For consistent sophistication and undeniably chic outerwear, women look to him for cozy cashmere turtlenecks, glam evening gowns, and ladylike trousers — all of which are impeccably tailored. Over the past 30 years, he has built one of the most famous lifestyle brands in fashion, and after looking through his memorable collections, it's no wonder Mr. Kors has garnered quite a following. Catch up on Kors and get excited for what's to come for Spring '13.
Ashley Greene, Sophia Bush, and More Shine at the Do Something Awards
The Do Something Awards brought more than just social change efforts to the forefront last night, it also inspired a bevy of do-good starlets to hit the evening's blue carpet in their Sunday best. Glee's Lea Michele stayed true to her signature brand of skin-baring sexy ensembles, this time in an off-white Giorgio Armani number. Her plunging ruffled neckline and center thigh-high split made for two very revealing outfit details. Ashley Greene put her love of metallic shine to the test in a printed Michael Kors dress, matching gold snakeskin belt, and peep-toe Giuseppe Zanotti pumps, while Sophia Bush stunned in an unforgettable orange Olcay Gulsen column dress. There were other notable daring counts of color, print, and silhouette to be had, courtesy of Nikki Reed, Olivia Munn, Kristen Bell, and more. Click through to see who wore what (and who wore it best) — then, leave your pick for most fab in the comments below.
Ellen Pompeo Works Chic Python Pumps Into Her Bright Day
Ellen Pompeo made a shopping stop at American Rag in LA looking preppy-slash-polished in a white silk button-up blouse, which she tucked into light gray shorts. She continued her monochromatic outfit with this Michael Michael Kors off-white bag ($398), python pumps, and aviator sunglasses. A gold watch and matching gold ring completed her Summer look. Wear this ensemble on your next retail run or swap the shorts for white trousers for work. Shop similar pieces below to get Ellen's latest look.

Try These 6 Monochromatic Celebrity Ensembles Now!
Colorful ensembles are always playful, but there is something so chic and understated about a solid-hued look, which is why we adore how these six celebrities rocked their monochromatic looks. Melissa George worked a red-hot ensemble with bow-accent Christian Louboutin pumps in Hollywood, Kate Bosworth went black on black in Hugo Boss in Berlin, while Ashley Greene blushed in a neutral Emilio Pucci mini and textured Casadei pumps in LA. In a world where prints are prominent, it's easy to push aside classic monochromatic ensembles, but next time you're heading out on the town, take a cue from these stylish stars.

Blake Lively Suits Up in Crimson Menswear
Blake Lively stepped out in slick, red-hot suiting for an appearance on Good Morning America today, and we fell head over heels for Blake's brightly colored getup. The Savages actress wore an Old Hollywood-inspired ensemble for the LA premiere of the movie, so we were excited to see her go for a menswear-inspired outfit today. She let the fiery red Michael Kors suit take center stage, but we love that her cropped trousers revealed a pair of strappy Christian Louboutins. Watch today's Fab Flash to get all the details. On Allison McNamara: Elizabeth and James vest.
