The wait is (mostly) over: Jason Wu's more affordable exploration of his design aesthetic — namely, his Miss Wu for Nordstrom collection — is now online and available for preorder. Along with our complete lookbook inside, you can see exactly what Wu's self-described "more downtown, more relaxed attitude" is made of. While Wu's namesake collection caters to a more sophisticated trendsetter, who straddles the line between ladylike and subversive, this youthful — but still impeccably chic — lineup is its younger sister, a girlier representation with a mod-era feel. To celebrate the capsule's debut online, we've already picked out our favorite pieces right here. From a retro geometric-print shiftdress and a leather circle skirt to a cashmere lace sweater and a rich olive-hued trench coat, these pieces are bound to be Spring-transitional staples. As for the price range, it ranges from $195 for a necktie blouse to $795 for a leather biker jacket. Keep clicking for our shopping picks and the full Miss Wu for Nordstrom lookbook now.

Jason Wu to Introduce Lower-Priced Line

Jason Wu says he wanted to "explore the other side of myself" when he created Miss Wu, the lower-priced line he'll begin selling exclusively at Nordstrom in January.
Jason Wu Affordable Line Miss Wu to Be Sold at Nordstrom

Jason Wu says he wanted to "explore the other side of myself" when he created Miss Wu, the lower-priced line he'll begin selling exclusively at Nordstrom in January.

"I always see Jason Wu [the collection] as my aesthetic, my design sensibility," Wu said. "Miss Wu is my personality. It was really fun to explore that facet of who I am — slightly more downtown, and with a more relaxed attitude."

The 40-piece collection features Wu's signature feminine, floral aesthetic with touches of inspiration from the '60s. Clothing will be priced from $195 for a sleeveless silk bow blouse to $795 for a black leather jacket. (A sleeveless blouse from Wu's main collection, by comparison, costs $565.)

Nordstrom will carry the line in 49 stores across the country and has exclusive rights to sell the brand for one year. After that, Wu plans to expand the line into a full wholesale operation and expand the brand's offerings. "The first two seasons are based solely on ready-to-wear," he said. "By 2014, we plan to have accessories."
