Our outfits would be nothing without the extra spark of an amazing piece of jewelry, so with Fall around the bend, we're looking out for the latest shapes and coolest colors. Since we've already covered our love for statement cuffs, slick earrings, and standout rings, we're shifting our enthusiasm toward the new breed of necklaces. Fall's new batch hones in on geometric shapes, natural elements — like stones and beads — gilded metals, and high collar silhouettes. A definite departure from last season's super-layered looks, and we like it. Check out our top 15 picks, ranging from a neon-accented leather column necklace from 3.1 Phillip Lim to a '70s-inspired wonder from Missoni, and start shopping.
Kate Bosworth Channels Rainbow Brite — Love It or Leave It?
On her way out of the Coldplay concert at UCLA, we spotted Kate Bosworth sporting some seriously bold colors — in more ways than one. On top of her new dip-dyed blue-green locks, Kate also showed off a sheer, rainbow-hued Missoni top. We're used to seeing the actress in more understated garments via chic cocktail dresses and color experimentation that typically goes as far as a bold Proenza frock or saturated Calvin Klein sheath. However, fashion involves risk taking and as far as we're concerned, Kate shows no fear. So, what do you make of the look? Is it a refreshing change or a bit of a misstep?

Peep the First Missoni for Target Ad
>> In June, images leaked of Margherita Missoni shooting the campaign for the upcoming Missoni for Target collaboration, and now the first official image has hit. The 400-plus piece collection — which spans everything from clothes and bedding to dinnerware, luggage, and bicycles (see a few peeks from the August 2011 issue of Vogue here) — is expected to hit Target from Sept. 13 through Oct. 22 and ranges in price from $7.99 to $199.99. This Candle Costs More Than a Car Payment

If you happen to live in a world where money is meaningless, may we suggest you take a gander at this Missoni Home Torta candle ($520)? It's a pretty four-wick candle with a zigzag pattern and a Missoni plaque stuck to the side, so everyone will know it's designer. Also, it costs more than some peoples' rent.
This is the sort of thing that makes me wonder if, somewhere, there are candle connoisseurs just waiting to snap these up, and candle museums that will need one for their collections. Because what else could explain something costing this much? It isn't even perfumed, so there are no fancy oils to use as an excuse. Plus, for $520, you can get a candle-making kit, take a candle-making course, then make 80 candles yourself and still have money to burn.
Missoni Offers Sneak Peek at Spring-Summer Collection For Tots
Everything's coming up Missoni striped, zigzagged, and tie-dyed these days! The Italian fashion house is quickly spreading its signature bohemian style to moms and lil girls everywhere. Earlier this season, the designer partnered with Havaianas to introduce a line of bright, designer flip-flops. They then announced a Fall collaboration with Target that will include affordable clothes and accessories for tots. Next month the Missoni-clad Bugaboo Cameleon debuts at Neiman Marcus stores (though one big star has already been spotted pushing her tiny tot in it). And now Margherita Missoni's family design house is showing off next year's Spring and Summer styles for baby.
Filled with flowing dresses, gathered skirts, patterned swimwear, and drawstring tunics, the collection has the unmistakable vintage feel of 1960's Italy. The sure to be pricey designer pieces give a definite feminine feel to lil girls' wardrobes. But for those of us who can only lust of such pieces, we can always dream that Missoni extends its Target collaboration into Spring! Check out some of the garments now!
Mini Lanvin: Luxe Designer Joins Growing List of Posh Fashions For Kids
Luxe tots is where it's at this year. Mamas who love their designer duds can introduce their tots to the ways of Rodeo Drive earlier than ever. Gucci, Stella McCartney, and Fendi all introduced tot lines earlier this year and just yesterday Lanvin announced plans to join the high-end tot parade with 25 "superluxury" pieces for girls this Summer. Before we drool over the sure-to-be gorgeous designs, see how other luxury brands design for lil shoppers.

Met Gala: Margherita Missoni
We love Margherita Missoni — no matter what the event, she always nails that polished-yet-effortless look we covet! Margherita walked the red carpet in a pastel-hued, ombré Missoni gown, cinched at the waist with a metallic belt. She wore a bronze statement necklace, with a matching cuff on each wrist, and carried a silver clutch. Her long brown hair was pulled up into a tight topknot, and she had a pretty, purple-tinged smoky eye. We love how Margherita mixed her metals and wore her hair up; what do you think of her look?

Bugaboo Partners With Missoni For Haute Couture Stroller
Bring on the patterns! You'll never look at your plain old stroller the same way again now that Bugaboo has joined forces with Missoni. The Dutch stroller company (who recently stole the carriage spotlight with its introduction of the Donkey convertible stroller) and Italian fashion house are partnering on a special collection of brightly patterned fabrics. For the Cameleon, the design house has created a bright block print for the sun canopy and bassinet apron ($270), while the Bee's zigzag design is limited to the sun canopy ($200). Both sets include a swoon-worthy knit blanket that mama may want to turn into a scarf for herself (just a suggestion). The collection will be sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus beginning in July. Check out these photos of the runway-esque designs.
The Best Headgear For Summer
>> Tomorrow's royal wedding is sure to involve some unique headgear, but eyecatching fascinators won't be in the cards for us this Summer. Instead, we're leaning towards something more streamlined: headbands, headwraps, and turbans from the likes of Missoni, Jennifer Behr, and Marc by Marc Jacobs.
