Besides her hot strut, we're eying Victoria Beckham because of her Fab little sheath. It's modern mod at its best — simple silhouette, rounded neckline, and no bells and whistles. It's all about the fit — not too body-conscious, not too billowy — it should have a body-skimming, ladylike fit. For extra flair, go with a retro palette; bold yellows, orange, blue, and the rest of the primaries are perfect. And also look to Mrs. Beckham for the right accoutrements: oversize sunnies and a pair of pretty pumps.
eBay Find of the Week
The first person that popped into my head when I saw this Mod Kelly Green Wool Coat, bust 42 inches? Twiggy! Can't you just see the blonde pulling this off with ease? If mod is also your style, consider this piece. It goes without saying it will provide major pop to any outfit. And, the color goes well with blondes, brunettes, and redheads.
The current bidding price is at $18.50 and the auction ends on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Good luck and happy bidding!
Vera Wang Lavender Label Fall 2009

An edgy, rock-and-roll concept will always be better suited for Vera Wang's lower priced diffusion line, Lavender Label, and this Fall 2009 was no exception. The theme was "Medieval Mod" and allowed for layered metallics, hard and soft elements, and close-to-the-body silhouettes. Vera Wang's Fall 2009 ready to wear collection will show at the designer's SoHo Flagship during New York Fashion Week.
A Fabby Halloween: Twiggy
Twiggy may no longer scream mod queen, but circa 1960s, she was highly popular for her high-fashion mod look. If you're looking to mimic someone with a bold, youthful signature style this Halloween, Twiggy is your girl. Inspired by the mod creations of English fashion designer Mary Quant, the supermodel wore everything from mini skirts to shift dresses, go-go boots to funky print dresses, sequins to plaid. Twiggy, whose real name is Lesley Hornby, wasn't merely known for her stick skinny body (hence the childhood nickname) and quirky fashion sense; she also spearheaded the application of fake lashes under bottom lashes and the androgynous pixie haircut. Groovy.

"Just don't take any of it too seriously, or you'll miss the whole point."
This video is our ode to London Fashion Week. We really fancied some of the collections presented this year, so, in tribute, we dug up this ridiculous video detailing 1960's London fashion in a manner that makes Tuesday seem possible after all. King's Road, the shopping street that made punk, mod, and The Beatles possible, is now completely gentrified (not that there aren't new shopping prospects London has to offer). In this video you will learn that, even in the 1960's, people were talking about there not being anything left to create, and that fake eyelashes make plain English girls look like movie stars.
