When it comes to the world's most famous beauties, Monica Bellucci frequently represents Italy on the list. The 47-year-old actress is an international sex symbol not just because of her voluptuous curves, but also because of the palpable intelligence she conveys in her films and interviews. (If there's a heterosexual man who isn't attracted to Monica Bellucci, we haven't met him.) She's sexy, smart, glamorous, and womanly — which may be why Dolce & Gabbana tapped her as the new face of its cosmetics line earlier this year. Now, she's the muse for their newest lipsticks ($32), designed with the help of legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath. The six shades range from a cardinal red to soft petal pink, but our pick is Only Monica, an incredibly versatile candy-sweet pink. But you don't need to be a fan to find a reason to pucker up; the softly scented formula is highly pigmented, with enough color to persevere through a morning macchiato. Bellissima.
Rachel Weisz's role as a Nebraska cop in The Whistleblower is miles away from her upcoming stint as Jackie Kennedy, but this kind of harrowing political drama is her forte (see her Oscar for The Constant Gardener).
Here she plays Kathryn Bolkovac, the real woman who uncovered a prostitution ring in Bosnia that was run by her colleagues at the UN. David Strathairn, Vanessa Redgrave, and Monica Bellucci also appear, but the heart of the thriller clearly beats within Weisz. To watch the preview, just read more
The Cannes Film Festival is always absolutely dripping in glamour, and if you're looking for stars from around the globe at their finest, there's no better event. This week was bursting with beautiful looks thanks to the Rome Film Festival. While some dazzled in their fancy frocks, others preferred to keep it more casual and flirty. Ashley Tisdale shined in her fun embellished Jenny Packham dress, while Margherita Missoni rocked in a pair of shiny harem pants. There's no doubt that each starlet stood out in her unique ensemble, but which look do you prefer?
Sexiness is a subjective thing. On Valentine's Day, sexy lingerie and romance is in your face. There are those that love this day, and those who loathe it. Me? I'm stuck in the middle with you. So, in honor of the lovey dovey holiday I thought I would give you a glimpse into what I think is Fab, sexy and cool. Some of these people and images are funny sexy, some dead sexy and some are simply what turns a girl on.
To kick it off, an image of Clarence and Alabama from my favorite romantic film True Romance. It's definitely not your typical romance, but sometimes Fab is not so typical . . .
If you need a push of inspiration for Valentine's Day, don't miss Heartango, a short film created by The Pursuit of Happyness director Gabriele Muccino for Italian intimates line, Intimissimi. The sensual tango music draws you in and reveals the lust affair between actress Monica Bellucci and Portuguese actor José Fidalgo. But all is not fair in love . . . Bellucci plays four characters: a deceived lover, a hotel maid, a cab driver, and a tango dancer. If you like the silk slips she wears in the film, they're available at Intimissimi stores as limited-edition pieces. Come Feb. 14, your lover will thank me for posting this!
As expected, Dita showed up to the Christian Dior couture show looking gorgeous and dramatic as ever. Only she can wear a pastel color like lavender and make it look so bold! Monica is also a sight for sore eyes and a tad goth in her asymmetrical black gown with train. Both looks rock my world. Who gets your vote?
