Every time I go to Target, I leave with at least one bag. For example, when I went last week, I walked out with the navy version of this Mossimo Long Wool Olive Jacket ($49, originally $70). I couldn't resist — it screamed chic Russian military-wear.
In honor of one of my favorite bargain shopping destinations, I created an outfit entirely out of Target goods. The grand total minus tax? $209.68. Not bad for 10 pieces. See? That's why I keep running back to Tar-jay.

I live in my wooly jackets in the Winter, but they're not the most exciting crop of coats. If you feel me, try one with leather trimmings. This slick embellishment adds a dose of refinement to outerwear without losing warmth. I like how the leather trimming gives this Mackage Short Notch Collar Wool Coat ($883) a sharp appeal. Now you have no excuse to sacrifice style for comfort.
90210 cutie Jessica Stroup is looking subtly tough in her baby blue leather jacket. Not to mention this jacket makes her baby blues pop. Gorgeous. You've probably already snatched up a black leather jacket, and if you're craving more buttery leather, shake things up with a colored leather jacket. I recommend sticking to jewel tones — purple, blue, burgundy — or neutrals. Let's face it: when it comes to leather, happy colors like orange and yellow just don't fly.

Who's in the market for a leather jacket? If you've done your research, you know that even a basic leather jacket can seriously break the bank. And I refuse to fork over a thousand bucks for one.
I currently have three leather jackets lined up for Fall. To my surprise, my Gray Faux Leather Biker Jacket by Mossimo ($35, left) is by far my favorite. The product shot doesn't do justice to its buttery texture. I loved it so much, I even got it in black. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a bit loose-fitting, but for that price, I found a solution. I simply rolled them up a few times for a more laid-back look. I give it two leathery thumbs up.
I know you're all as excited as I am about the news that Thakoon is collaborating with Target. To keep busy until its arrival in December, check out Mossimo's Fall 2008 collection. I must say, it's a good distraction.
Among the pieces worth investing in are a cozy sweater cardigan (left), a satin trench, a gray and black plaid coat, wide-leg trousers, and a faux leather jacket.
